Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

When the port out is done, it's released. You should be able to confirm that on the eligibility check page.
I am not planning to port out, but rather just cancel. Is it immediate on the cancellation?

Anyone going to cancel their plan to redo this deal? It's nearing the 1 year mark…
Did you cancel yet? Was the phone released immediately for signing up again?

dang. Do you know if I port to tmobile prepaid is that the cheapest plan to switch back to spring?
Try this for 99 cents plus $10 for the minutes for 30 days:

https://www.att.com/cellphones/pr...sku7420309

You get a tel # too that you can port to Sprint. This is great for those who do not have a # to port to Sprint, or you can port it to Sprint and later you can port another # to replace it.

T-Mobile has a $10 sim kit and you get a # too. You can port that # to Sprint without adding any $ to the account.

I just got my new phone today (moto g5 plus), if I put in my EMEI and phone number today am I locked into the deal immediately? Or do I need to wait for the sim card to arrive and activate before I'm locked into the free year? I'm just worried that if the deal is indeed ending today that I'll miss out on it waiting for the sim card from sprint.
This morning I activated a Motorola Moto E4 Plus, adding it to my plan as a third line. So I guess that today is not the end of the promo. I am guessing that April 30th, 2018 is the next cut-off date.

For my fellow Moto E4 users ... I tried activating my Moto E4 Plus using SIM card SIMOLW506TQ (listed on bestcellular site) and it was NO GO. Tried with the regular SIMOLW416Q and it activated.

Closing the account is a more appropriate term here.
Porting will release the phones immediately, BUT will not close the account. You MUST call to request the closing.
Closing the account may take a bit longer. Ask the Sprint CS rep to release the phones immediately upon closing the account so that they may be used on another plan.

Looking forward to giving all the advice a try! Thanks for the effort Big Grin

So it LTE discover I keep going back and forth between 25 and 26 but it's only at 2 bars, never see a 41 pop up. Changing network from automatic to lte/cdma offers no performance increase. The play store only shows a single apk for carrier services. I thought anything not compatible with your device won't show narrowing down the version I need.

On the plus side, I've got a magic box coming my way. Quick n painless phone call.

Several have done it in the last week alone. You might want to read(last week) or search the thread.
Port out, then port back in under different social.
If you want to port in with same social need to wait 46 days.

I just got my first bill.
Found out the customer service person added 2 add-Ons for $25/month.
Chat representative gave me credit for it and cancelled the useless add-ons.

My monthly tax/fee is $2.90 in SoCal.
Great deal.

Have you tried the options here?
Tap Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network mode.

Select CDMA, LTE / CDMA, GSM / UMTS, or Automatic.

Regarding the Magic Box read this:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=111660491&postcount=93

There are limitations to the MB, don't expect miracles but perhaps it may help in your area.

Also check this post:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=111681727&postcount=15365

From what you're saying above Band 41 may not be available in your area/city and the MB may not be of much help but perhaps it'll work for you.

I'm not sure if I'm just not using it right but that cellmapper thing isn't showing me anything for Hawaii... While I'm back here, lemme show you my various speedtests around town.

If I dont care about the number, cancelling the account will free up my phone to sign up again rightaway? Or they disallow 'phone' for a certain period?
The phone frees up right away but it is not the phone or the number that it is restricted, it is your social security number that cannot be used again for new customer offers for 45 days after you last have open any account with that SSN.

Okay, I've read through this and I'm completely confused. Hope someone will help.

I signed up in June with 2 lines, using Google Voice numbers, new phones and new sims. I need to renew for a year but keep the same sims and phones (prefer to keep the numbers but not a huge deal). We used the other person's ssn for the account.

So, to sign up a new account with my SSN, do I port out one phone/sim/number to say, T-Mobile prepaid? Then port it back in and open the new account with it? Then repeat with the 2nd line? Will they let me port out both numbers?

If someone would give me a step by step i'd appreciate it, I looked through the thread but I'm stressed out and everything is confusing me.
