Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

It's a nice phone at that price point (but I didn't get it from the recent deal since I already had one). I'd still suggest babying the battery a bit on that phone model to be on the safe side though (ideally, charge to only ~80% except when more is really needed, try not to leave connected to charger overnight, try not to charge when the device is hot, etc, and keep track of battery wear and usage with an app like accubattery).
Thanks very much for those tips. Will do

Freedom Pop is fine (even "Sprint side" FP numbers as well as GSM side are never Sprint numbers - they are voip numbers). Can be slow to release for port though.
Did you do something to get your phone accepted?
Did they whitelist it for you?
What changed?

I kept emailing essential support, and they kept asking me to call Sprint. So I did again today. I told the rep the whole story, she put me on hold and after maybe 10 minutes she came back and said the phone is eligible now. Not sure what Sprint did.

it will be awhile before MVNOs are affected, those unlocked phones for both GSM and CDMA are worth it now. Tello and others may have to switch to GSM, Freedompop is already there. My Nexus 6 and Prime Moto G4 will be fine on either sim. https://www.tomsguide.com/us/t-mo...27093.html

There's also the matter of prepaid businesses. In addition to their own prepaid plans, T-Mobile and Sprint both own low-cost carriers — MetroPCS in T-Mobile's case and Boost and Virgin Mobile for Sprint. Those low-cost carriers have tried to out-do each other with aggressive pricing and other deals, and it's unclear if that will continue once they're under the same corporate umbrella. That could potentially impact lower-income customers.

There are technical issues to address as well. T-Mobile uses the GSM networking standard, while Sprint operates on CDMA. Under the proposed merger, T-Mobile will spend the next few years moving Sprint customers to T-Mobile's network, though details are sparse at the moment.

Well they whitelisted it then. Congratulations on your persistence!

It sounds as if this is a known issue and Essential and Sprint had worked out a procedure to address it. The Essential rep. should have been clearer that he knew such an arrangement was in place rather than just saying to call Sprint.

can somebody with experience with sprint help with a question. I had ordered sims for 3 account. How about one of the phone is not working so i will need to switch to a new phone's imei after i activate in next couple of days. Is it easy to change line's phone to a different one? Also, can i add a line with porting another one in next couple of days or can i add a line promotional free year?

Currently I have one line of service which is free until Oct'18 and would like to add 2 more lines. I called Sprint Customer service. They are saying i can add 2 new lines and they are valid until April 2019 and doesn't relate to existing line terms. Is it safe to add 2 new lines under same account.

I don't want use other family member's SSN, credit check etc for new lines. Anyone has similar experience?

Sprint rep was wrong. Not one report of this to be the case in 10 months. Who would you believe?

Yes you can imei swap (ie. swap phones) at any time after activation provided you do it then not through Telesales any more, but using regulat tech. support starting from your Dashboard (or call regular support, not Telesales). You do not need a reason, just swap.

But for now, if you have not yet activated, just activate the phones you want in the first place through Telesales 866-782-8777. No need to activate and then swap if it is already dead (I am not sure if that is what you meant or not). .You can also add an additional line at the same time if you want, or later by porting in another number. Just discuss the details with TeleSales 866-782-8777.

Exactly how long you can add further lines will not be clear until after the offer eventually closes to new subscribers at some unknown date.

Does anyone know if I can reuse the current phone IMEI (after swap out) to get an extra line? I have one verizon S7 Edge, but the website says that it is not eligible for the promo. thanks much!

I did this awhile back so I forget the intricacies of how it works. Can I add a family member who's currently on Verizon to my account and have them be a free line as well?

Not sure if I follow the second sentence or whether it is related to the first sentence.

If a phone is not eligible it can play no role.

I am not sure what you mean by "reuse the imei" either.

If you do a swap you are already using the space previously occupied by the original phone.

I need one more phone to activate a line with port in. I was hoping to use an old virgin mobile LG tribute 2 that was on ring plus some time back. The ting shows it can be used but sprint shows that "Sorry, please bring your phone to a Sprint Store so we can help." in byod check and "
Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account." on free year byod check. Any body has any idea if this can be made to work without going to store? Also, will this work in store or will it be waste of time? Thanks for help.

i was hoping that i would be able to swap the phone that i currently have for my free line with the verizon s7 edge, and then use that 'eligible for promotion' imei to add another line. but, i just tried to swap and for some reason, Sprint wouldn't take it and said that the verizon s7 edge is not found on their system, or something like that.
