Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I'm nervous at this point that no one will swap the phone because I have notes on my account. I tried to call again this afternoon and got the same answer and I know they had notes on my account talking about that I can't swap. Would a Sprint store be able to help as well?
Stop calling and do online chat as mentioned before

Do you guys think I should wait or should sign up today due to merger announcement which can stop this offer after April?
Or it will still be there in May?
You have nothing to lose if u do it today. They might stop new sign ups tomorrow. Then you lose. Even if they continue with new sign ups, the expiration date still 5/31/2019.

I am afraid that the chat rep. will see the notes and that could be a problem. I have seen that they do read them carefully.

Still, I agree it is at least worth a try (or two or three) doing the chat. Try telling the rep that the notes were a misunderstanding and you just want to simply swap two numbers.

If they refuse to do it because of the notes, and the guys here cannot come up with a better solution over a day or two, you could do it another way by porting out both phones and porting back in the phone you want to use with the number you want to use it with. Quite straightforward really. Let's see if the promo gets extended into May before doing any port outs though.

Exactly right. There is no advantage to waiting under any contingency.

There are just sim cards, no such thing as BYOD sim cards. They never expire. They can always be used in the same phone model group (unless they are still in use somewhere else of course).

If they say it "does not work" what they mean it is it is the wrong part for the phone you re trying to use it in.

There are over 30 different sim parts and you have to have the right one for each particular phone.

There is nothing they can do to make a sim work. It is either the right sim for your phone or it is not. If is the correct part, it will work. You need to find out (not from them) what the correct sim part for your phone is and get one.

http://s4gru.com/forums/topic/783...ity-chart/

Or check Ting's list.
Thanks for the feedback. The SIM is the same one used a month ago when I ported from Sprint to Verizon. I'm going to call back now and try again.

Usually the system takes time to update. Its not guaranteed your phone is marked as inactive in a short period of time.

Not sure what happened the first time around, but this last call was silky smooth. All MEID and ICCID numbers worked out and the port happened. Just waiting for the port to complete and I should be good to go.

Probably not with H2O because they now have various restrictions that delay port out.

Pretty OT to this thread but, I got a email today from Sprint about their (proposed) merger with Tmobile, talking about "5g for all" (they're saying the merger will hasten/allow them to invest in 5g or something).

I just hope the new network becomes GSM in time though (probably too late for me on this 1 yr deal). CDMA is a pain in the ass! There's a very limited selection of unlocked CDMA phones compared to a plethora of GSM ones. That's the one thing I don't love about this otherwise great deal, as a phone geek, feeling like I dont have the capability to buy the various unlocked off contract GSM phones out there, and/or easy sim swapping.
