Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I checked my eligibility of my phone and it said eligible, however my number is currently with MetroPCS. Can someone confirm if recent MNVO ports are still successful? Thanks!

I have 4 lines on previous free BYOD deal that expire in July. Can someone explain the best way to extend this deal?

Also, if there a way to get some quality phones on the cheap that would be great.

Thanks,

Thanks,
You first have to port out to a different provider (a lot have been using H20 and T-Mobile prepaid lately). Then you have to call the Sprint BYOD promo line to sign-up for a brand new account with a DIFFERENT social security # (spouse, S/O, parent, etc.). You wouldn't be able to start your own new account for 45 days after porting out. Then you'll follow the same steps to activate as you did the first time...

But what does your online Dashboard show?

On it, click Manage Plan / See Details.

That is the one that counts and most likely it will show the correct end of savings date of 5/31/2019.
Great, it shows this:
  • Unlimited - Bring Your Phone
  • Unlimited Talk, Text and Data.
  • $5/line/mo up to 5 lines. ($60/line value free with AutoPay until 5/31/19)
  • 10GB Mobile Hotspot.
  • International Text from US.
  • Requires $5 per line/per month AutoPay discount.
  • Savings until 5/31/19; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo. for line 2 and $30/mo./line for lines 3-5 with AutoPay.

Thanks,
I ended up purchasing a Motorola Moto X4 from google's Project Fi for $250+tx. You need to subscribe to the service and then unsubscribe though which will run you another $20.

Thanks, do you know how long the porting process takes? I don't want this to expire and its a pain to gather the phones and stuff. Also is there a post describing how to port to H20 or T-mobile?

Thanks again

If I'm currently on Sprint, all my phones should be able to be ported out and back in again?

Also, is there a confirmation on the 5/17/18 date? The reps keep telling me:
"I have checked the information and currently, there is no end date to this promotion available. It is still there for limited time, however no fixed end date is available."

Trying to port a line from FP and got rejected. Reason is some information not correct. But I verified everything looks right. Anyone had this problem before?

One possible warning about using phones that have been on Project Fi before:
Make sure to re-check your device eligibility from the Sprint page while you're still on the chat or phone with Fi.

Details:
Since Fi is considered a Sprint MVNO, merely putting a Fi SIM into your device and tapping activate will immediately set your phone's device ownership flag in the Sprint database to PLBL, which will cause the Sprint 1 year free BYOD check to fail and indicate that "you still owe Sprint for this device" even if you swap the device back out of Fi or cancel your Fi service. Maybe if you wait long enough after cancelling it MIGHT get automatically un-flagged, but most of us don't want to just wait around hoping it might happen.
That part is fairly well understood and all you need to do is chat with Fi support and get them to switch the device ownership flag from PLBL to SPCS (they might call it releasing the device) so it can be activated on Sprint. It takes effect almost immediately and the device should then show eligible on Sprint right away.

Now for the warning part. USUALLY they do the above correctly (I've had them set two devices that had previously been on my Fi service to SPCS without incident, although it sometimes takes them maybe 20 minutes as they have to contact a "specialist" to do it). Unfortunately, on my third (and last) device, after I cancelled my Fi service, I chatted with support to get them to switch the flag to SPCS but they screwed up and apparently flagged my device as STOLEN instead! Both the Sprint BYOD check and Ting showed it as lost/stolen and cannot be activated. It took about an hour of arguing with them to finally get that straightened out. They couldn't explain how/why it happened, but it's pretty obvious their "specialist" simply screwed up and didn't know how to fix it so they had to escalate to the next level. After that it finally passed the Sprint 1 year free BYOD check.

Anyway, just a heads up that it can happen (though hopefully very unlikely, since 2 out of 3 of mine were done correctly).

I believe port out should work from FP GSM, if you use the exact info from Settings->Port Out Info on FP. (phone number, account number and porting PIN are the important items).
If on FP CDMA it probably won't work because the device and/or number are already active on a Sprint MVNO.

Any BYODer's needing cheap phones?
I took a chance on Orbic Wonder for two of my people.
There's a 15% eBay coupon on SD. Easily found.
Unlocked for any carrier.
Here is link to phone. Supposed to be10/10 condition used.
$80 less 15 % = $72 shipped

For most Sprint wireless users ....something mostly...useless.
I assumed that before approving me for one, the habibi would've checked my coverage area... nope. The box is useless as you say

but we do get a neat battery charger to take around Stick Out Tongue

Anyone know if the charger needs to be returned or just the unit and power cord?
