Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Offer page still says limited time. My guess is a rep told user paradism(added it to wiki but no source given) that was the end date. No one really knows for sure as reps have usually been wrong.
If your planning to sign up then do as soon as you can or know the risk of it ending at anytime or could continue on.

Ok...I'm back in this thread now I 'm a bit confused how do I proceed in this scenario:

I already successfully activated this deal once. So I am a current Sprint customer with one line on the free BYOD plan. I'm now thinking about trying to get a second free line.

I bought a Moto G5 Plus unlocked (this is the phone I'd like to add the 2nd free BYOD plan line too).

For the sim card Boost Mobile tri pack from Best Buy I think.

So, I have to call to add the free year year/second line (going by the OP advice)? I'm assuming I can port in a $4 ebay Tmobile number, right?

I followed the steps you mentioned and when I activated the phone online under a different social security number it gave me a message saying I will have free unlimited data talk and text until 7/31/18! It didn't give me another year of free service, even though The new account is under a different social and I ported over the number. It seems it just gave me the 2 remaining months I would have had before. Bummer.

As noted by freddiez, that initial notice you get was never updated by Sprint's programmers and always says that no-longer-correct date that applied in the early days of the offer, but you can see the correct date, which will be 5/31/2019, by looking at your Dashboard. Select Manage Plan / See Details. All will be fine!

That is correct but realize that you will get the same end-of-savings date as your original phone got on your existing free plan. If you want a later date, get a family member or relative to open a new account to share with you under their SSN instead.

Then later you can move over your original phone as well as the new one.

No you have to call 866-782-8777 to add lines later - they do not have a web app for that. It is a fast call though - no credit info. needed.

Sure I did not know how old your plan was.

And yes you can use an EBay "TMo number for port" . I have done so twice. Use EBay seller with name beginning "Portmaster". Some others are unreliable especially on weekends.

Thanks - that is great to have an official end date from Sprint finally!

That looks official to me and in fact is the same text as on the web site, but adding the expiry date, so I expect the web site will update to that text shortly.

Not unless you have another SSN so as to be a "new customer" as is required for this promotion. Maybe a spouse or relative will help you out with this.

P.S. Please read recent posts as this has been discussed all day and all week.

Get a Google Pixel or Pixel XL. Totally unlocked and can be used in every carrier. Top of the line smartphone camera, super fast, no bloatware, latest Android Oreo. After you're done with this Sprint free deal you'll have no problem going to any carrier you choose. Bought 4 phones from Dailysteals.com as b grade refurbished but to my surprise all 4 are A condition.
Slight correction. Those do appear to be carrier unlocked, but they're originally from Verizon, which means they would still be bootloader locked. For most typical users that's not a problem, but for anyone used to Nexus devices and being able to easily reflash at will, undo an OS upgrade if desired, etc, it can be a issue. So I wouldn't necessarily call them "totally" unlocked.

That having been said, they're nice devices at an attractive price. I keep debating when they pop up, but for me the bootloader lock is just enough to tip the balance toward keeping my old 6p (and continuing to baby the battery) until I see a comparable bootloader unlocked model.

Yes, true, bootloader locked but totally carrier unlocked.

Does the porting in and out take 2 hours or so, or is that only M-F during business hours?

It is immediate to under a couple of minutes for major carriers, up to hours to days for some others, potentially worst of all VOIP numbers (GV, FP), mainly if there is a glitch with the PIN etc. (which is common), because some providers will not even answer the phone to Sprint outside their own regular business hours (if even then - some insist on using electronic requests and responses only).

But once you have a port into Sprint underway, call and ask to speak to the porting department directly as they welcome those calls and try to fix any problems then and there where possible.
