Never ask any questions or volunteer any background. Just give them IMEI, ICCID, and number to port in.
Just call back and this time IF THEY ASK say it is a new sim card you bought at a Sprint store.
Tip for folks - if asked about the SIM - say it is brand new purchased from a local Sprint store.
Each and every number (first , 2nd or last) on a byod line has to be ported in from a non sprint (or sprint mvno) carrier
i really like that line..especially since i wrote in there in the wiki
It is going to be very hard to pay for something we get use to have for free now !!
- mintsim $25/month (only 10 gb lte)
Any better alternative?
But they assigned me a phone number already ...
So did I messup or they did..or is it still possible to port from Sprint to this sim?
Edit: seems it is just a temporary number....but I am on phone with them and there is problem in porting because my temporary number and sprint number have different area codes

SlickDeals has links to various Sprint offers so presumably they have a communications channel to Sprint marketing.
Just tell them you just bought the sims from the local Sprint store. That's working for people who get this fiction.
It's just a sales ploy some reps came up with. Sprint never invalidates sims and could not do so. Everyone is using sims from many years ago in their phones. Sprint sims are standard and never expire.
Also I am sure the reps are sick of people trying to reuse sims in phones they do not work with. People are unaware that Sprint has about 30 different sim parts and you have to use the exact one (or one of a few) correct sim parts for your phone. So what's the easiest solution for the unscrupulous sales rep to avoid sim-related complaints? Lie and tell them that they have to start over with a new one to avoid problems.

to mark this deal active again until it is actually ended.
I am not sure but that looked like the right place to make such a request.
Edit: Wow - they moved it back to Active immediately!
