Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Lg v20 works fine.. I bought used LG G5, v20 and S7 edge from ebay and activated them without any issues. None of these are in the list, but worked fine for me.
Were all those Sprint versions? Anyone know if a Verizon v20 will work?

(My ebay Sprint Lg g5 is not here yet, and with recent reports of difficulty having them approve old Sprint devices, I'm wondering if It'll be better to get another carrier's compatible phone.)

I don't see how your issue is the fault of the people who work in customer service.

I guarantee you that Verizon customer service people are given instructions about what they can offer or not offer, just as Sprint's people have to follow their instructions.

And those instructions and policies aren't static. Have you ever worked in customer service at a large corporation ? The scripts they have to follow are updated on a regular basis.
Of course not. Probably never worked at all. Too busy dreaming up cutesie labels for call center employees.
One point of interest: 3 days ago while setting up 2 additional lines on Orbic phones, the rep warned me twice that incorrect port information would result in ineligibility on free plan. Plan would then default to paid plan. This is new afaik. Of course my port information was correct and activation was easy ( as usual).
Point is: Callers are usually the "incompetent". Liars, and entitled babies. Demanding to speak to supervisors, etc.
The reason for the deal has always been obvious. Take paying postpaid customers from the other three, let them try Sprint for a year, convert them to paying. Simple.
Never intended to garner a slew of deadbeat Ringplus refugees suckling on the teat of the beleaguered Sprint network.

This has been a gift really, for those in a decent coverage region. Going on year two..happily.

So we use the same phone number and sim card when going from sprint to tmobile back to sprint? The only thing ending up being different is it's a new account under a new name? Or can the old name be reused too?

It was sprint v20. I doubt Verizon will work.

I have a horrible memory. Last year I ordered a new device from Amazon. Moto g4 play. This is where my memory fails me. I know I did not activate it on T-Mobile. But I don't remember what steps I took to get a TMobile account. I think I had a new TMobile sim. I went to the TMobile store and I think I was able to open a pay as you go account for $10. I didn't need to Port a number. I think all I did was give them the imei from the Moto g4. The account was created and the next day I was able to Port to Sprint.

Again, horrible memory, so does this sound like the right method to get a TMobile account when you don't care about porting a number? And is the pay as you go plan which required a minimum of $10 to begin service the current plan today?

Hey cell phone gurus, i have a question for you. I have an unlocked s7 edge that is not eligible because it is not the special edition. (VZW branded) I also have a s9+ unbranded/unlocked. If i use the imei from the S9+ to get a sprint sim can i use it in the s7?

Basically i want to port my h20 wireless number from the s7 to to sprint, but need an eligible device.

No
(1) you do not use sims like that on Sprint. You activate IMEI's not sim ICCID's.
(2) they do not take the same sim part number anyway
(3) the S7 edge of another carrier would have the wrong bands and could never work on Sprint anyway.

If the S9+ is the unbranded version (model number ending in U1) you may/should be able to use it on Sprint I would think if you can get it past the TeleSales stage. It might just go right on. Not yet, though. if it is an other-carrier branded version (model number ending in U) since Samsung has not yet released brand switching. But that should be possible later.

Getting the number in is no problem if you can get a phone on.

Are you sure this is not for some other plan?
Normally they waive service fees if you activate via phone or online. Ask them if they will waive it. I have never heard of it being other than $30 though before being waived unless it is for 5 lines.
Was a dealer involved or something like that? They usually mess it up.

All of those can be reused but not the SSN. It has to be a different SSN. Normally the name would be the same as whoever's SSN you are using (spouse, family member, relative etc.) so that they can do a credit check for the name and SSN,

I have checked the eligibility online, it says "This phone can't be activated". Should I unlock the phone prior to checking the eligibility? And have you called Sprint for this order?

It does not have the right bands for Sprint so it would not work. They have never allowed any of those on on any plan. The IMEI's are not even in the database.
