Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Question for the experts on this thread.

So I am going to port out and back in today. I have three phone numbers on my account but plan to do it with my number first, which is the number I initially set up as the main number when I signed up for the sprint byod deal.

Will this change anything with the other two numbers on my BYOD account? I plan to also port out/in with those but need to do so at a later date.
No problem.

People have posted that they have done that no problem - ported out the first number. They said the second number then becomes the main one.

Hi again, thanks for your tip, i searched the thread for ATT iphone 6 and while there were many hits, there were only 2 relevant posts
one said that the phone is NOT unlocked, hence the message. - I can confirm thephone is unlocked as i used it with Tmobile and now using it with freedompop.

The 2nd post suggested checking the device on the ting device checker, which i just did and it says its compatible on both GSM and CDMA for ting.

not sure what else do do.. any one else have any suggestions / advice?
I have an unlocked AT&T iphone 6 PLUS that is not passing the sprint device checker.

Others here may have more on this phone, but:

Do NOT activate this or any phone online. Always call the BYOD offer toll free # and speak to a rep. They can do things that the online system can not or may reject.
Call, have them check your phone, and take it from there.

Also. when you activated on FreedomPop, did you activate it to work with the FreedomPop AT&T Sim or with Sprint's CDMA system? That can complicate things.
My guess is that you got the AT&T Sim.

according to this article it doesn't support LTE with Sprint which may be why you have to call to get it activated, if at all.

That article may be misleading.

The phone supports bands 25, 26, and 41 that Sprint is using for LTE.

Yeah I figured that was the case.

No, making random unnecessary experiments is not useful in my opinion.

Just check tomorrow if LTE works at other locations. Probably you are in a dead zone ot your tower is down. Check coverage maps. Run the apps SignalCheck or LTE Discovery. You are trying to jump ahead too fast without doing these things which are essential.

If you do not get LTE anywhere then you will have to have Sprint reprovision it. Easy to do.

Then after that if need be you will have to consider the possibility of a defective phone.
Thank You and HunterOne and the others last night. I think the final profile update--that I did worked and I was getting LTE outside and inside but only 2 bars inside so it was still showing offline. I went for a ride later and had LTE 4+ bars all the way.

I think it was the phone because it didn't work earlier at another location but I was inside Frown and didn't try it outside just figured I had no data==but nothing was showing up and it said I was offline. Should have tried it outside but I was pretty close to a window but maybe in a dead spot or the phone just wasn't working. It seems to be ok now and I was able to get to the internet inside the gym. I'm not used to this weak service that Sprint has either. I'm still waiting for a sim card for the Moto G5+ and then I'll be able to compare phones also. Everyone in the house is on Verizon network and they aren't having challenges using data only. They are actually on Total Wireless and it is working for them.

Thanks Again! Sure appreciate all of you! So nice of all of you to spend your time giving me suggestions--I had no clue what to do.

yes I think I had it backwards. It should support 4g. LTE, but not 3g.

I am trying to transfer my Moto X4 that I used briefly with Google's Project Fi onto the sprint network, and it is not allowing me to do so online. The online chat agent also says my Moto X4 is not compatible even though ti is listed on Sprint's list of eligible BYOD devices.

Any thoughts?

I have been through this with my nexus. Project fi uses sprints networks.....you need to contact them to take you off their Network. It looks to Sprint like you are already a customer.

From the wiki

ANYBODY THAT HAS BOUGHT A PHONE BOUGHT INITIALLY THROUGH PROJECT FI (GOOGLE) -
You have to call them and ask them to deregister the phone. Because Sprint is part of the FI network it looks like the phone is already active on there. Takes 24-48 hours to happen once you open a ticket by calling 1-844-TALK-2FI.
