Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

May I ask, how simple was it for you to sign up for the promotion and did you do everything via the online link or did you speak over the phone?
If I remember it correctly, I first check online to see if my phone was compatible and eligible. I did not have a problem with the credit check so I bought the sim and activated online... easy-peasy!

Just did this 2 weeks ago by buying 2 virtual sim cards. I just rechecked those tmo sim numbers and they pass the tmo check here [t-mobile.com] so yes it is possible. Use the same sprint sim.
A Big Thank You to you!

Data point: I called to request an unlock on Wednesday, and the rep looked at my account and said the phone would qualify (customer since January but of course the phone was only active for about two days). She submitted the unlock request. Today I got an email saying the unlock was disallowed since the phone was not active 50 days. So it's possible either the original rep messed up, or whatever system she looked at to see if the unlock qualifies has been updated to properly show how long the phone has been active on the line.
The policy is 50 days. It is clearly stated on Sprint's web site.

https://www.sprint.com/en/legal/u...evice.html

Any clueless rep. can guess and submit a request, but the department that actually looks after unlocks is Account Services at 1-888-211-4727 if people want to speak to people who actually know. This is a special Department and is not the same as general support.

I just bought the ebay digital sim cards then checked them from your link and the 2 sim passed. Do I need to make a separate porting for each line and be given a different PIN per account? I'm confused?

It is only a loophole that these phones were allowed to be sold without in-store activation on Boost. Walmart goofed up. According to a report on Reddit, Walmart has told employees not to sell them except with in-store activation on Boost.

Boost as a prepaid carrier requires one year on Boost to unlock. Your phone will not qualify for this obviously.

"Prepaid Unlocking Policy. Carriers, upon request, will unlock mobile wireless devices no later than one year after initial activation, consistent with reasonable time, payment, or usage requirements." https://www.fcc.gov/general/cell-phone-unlocking

However. if they do sell you one and you manage to activate on Sprint, Sprint postpaid requires only 50 days to unlock. Unless they call you on it and say go to Boost to unlock. But your odds are good so far.
Do you know how do I make sure that they don't do in-store phone activation on boost...?
Thanks

My Sprint BYOD deal from last year will soon be over and I want to extend it again for a year more. I read that the easiest way is to port out / port in. via buying ebay virtual T-Mobile Sim card. I have 2 lines on sprint and I read from somewhere that they can reuse this virtual Sim Card numerous times. (Anybody have done this?) If not, It is still cheaper buying 2 virtual Simcards than buying from Amazon.
My silly question for porting in is do I still need to buy another SIM card for sprint or can I just use the one that I have been using from the first deal.

Sorry if my inquiry was already been answered numerous times but I just want to make sure that I do this flawlessly!
Can you send me the link for Ebay virtual T-Mobile SIM card? Thank you in advance!

I think you would know.
They would have to set up a Boost account and plan for you and get an initial payment etc. Nobody has reported that yet.

If it is just handled as a normal purchase I would not worry.

What is the best way to add a line (port in a second number)? I have a current account, which I setup yesterday and ported in from H2O prepaid and is working well. I would like to port in a second number in about a week from Verizon post-paid, I already have a SIM. So is it as simple as logging in to my current account and click on the add a line and go through the steps there to port-in, or do I need to go through the toll-free number and have a CSR do it to make sure I get the free promo? Will the website add-a-line also give me the free promo?

This is the first time with Sprint so sorry if this question is novice level.

Thanks.

Sure. Do both phones on one phone call to tmo. Each phone needs a sim # and you can assign the same pin number to each and the account number will be the number being ported with a 1 in front. just verify all that with the rep before ending the call. You can just tell them you will add money later.

None of the above work other than calling 866-782-8777 and porting in a number.

As the wiki says in bold:

Each and every number (first , 2nd or last) on a byod line has to be ported in from a non sprint (or sprint mvno) carrier

The IMEI for the G6 Play does not pass their checker. Is it still working for phone swap regardless?
