Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

It appears you read it correctly:

"Upgrades for the lines activated on the Free Unlimited plan will be allowed after 4 months of service. At that time, return to sprint.com and log in to your account to purchase/lease your new phone. When it arrives, visit www.sprint.com/activate to activate the new phone. Any upgrades prior to the 4 months or in a retail location will require a plan change to the Unlimited data, talk and text plan which starts at $60 per month after an AutoPay discount. Unfortunately, you'll lose the remaining free months in your year of free service if you upgrade early or purchase/lease your new phone in a retail location."
Sprint.com also rarely has any deals on upgrades. I think one deal in last year (essential phone). So best to find deals through other sales channels and work arounds. Then just swap into free plan.

Thank you for your responses! I don't care if they are used or not, but the phones are old enough that they'll probably have to be used.

So, if it says Sprint, that's not good enough, right? I don't understand why I can't use a Sprint-locked phone for a Sprint plan.

Can you help me understand this madness? Can I just call Sprint and have them unlock it for free?
Locked to Sprint is fine. I think the problem arises when a Sprint postpaid LG phone has been unlocked and used on a Sprint MVNO. It then becomes ineligible until the flag thingy is switched back.
So the easiest way is to buy a used Sprint phone only used on Sprint. (Paid off of course)
Locked to Sprint is fine

Where do you get this sim card for $2.99 with FS. I got g5 plus from target. I am going to get new number with tmobile trick. Do i need to wait until i get sprint sim to port it into sprint with this deal. Looks i can get tmobile number, sign up for sprint deal. I will have time to get the sim activate the phone on sprint.

https://www.twigby.com/shop/twigb...s/simcards

Use code mom of wootfreesim to get it free.

I purchased 2 of them in separate purchases. Figured it was always nice to have an extra one.

I found these codes using Honey and it will search for codes.

I guess I'm never going to make this work. The only phones we were interested in were LG G5, LG V20, or Galaxy Note 4.

I bought some that said "Sprint version" in the listing, but they didn't say "unlocked." Now that I am looking, I can't seem to find ANY that say "Sprint" and "unlocked" for these phones. What am I missing?

I originally thought I could get "unlocked CDMA" versions, but someone said I might end up with a Verizon phone that wouldn't work with this plan.

Extra reps to anyone who can help me buy the right dang phones? (Prefer LG V20)
go on Ebay and type "Sprint LG V20" in the search box. Or "Sprint LG G5".

I don't get why you want "unlocked", you don't need to unlock a Sprint phone to use it with Sprint.

btw, I bought both of these and an LG G4 this way, they are all great phones.

That's the sim card that Twigby is showing and I ordered it on Sunday and received it on Thurs. They shipped it Monday so depends on where your located. It came from Tn or Georgia--I think. Could be wrong on that. Not sure what Sprint charged you--some said it's free but I doubt that is the case.

The terms locked and unlocked are thrown around and have different meanings.
The term Sim locked/unlocked means that the phone can only accept SIM cards from the carrier the sim slot is locked to. These can be sim unlocked by the carrier usually after a set time on the network and phone paid off Also they can sometimes be sim unlocked by third parties for a fee. It does not guarantee the phone will work on multiple carriers.
The term screen locked or activation locked means the phone cannot be accessed to the point of useless.
There is also a term called unlocked(unbranded) for phones that work on all carriers.
It is a very confusing term as it just means all bands are enabled/unlocked to have capability to work on all carriers and sim slot is unlocked. Some carrier branded phones can also work on all carriers but may or may not need modification to enable/unlock correct bands to work properly on other networks. There are also carrier branded phones that will not work on multiple carriers as they just don't have capability to enable/unlock correct bands for other carriers.

Wiki says $3 per month. Suppose to be $35 per year.

One sprint store refused to sell Sims for these plans. Another store sold me one for $3.

How difficult is to port Ooma number to tmobile?
If I can find alternatives for cheap international calling, I can just keep my Ooma number.

Thanks

Hi,
Do i need to have compatible sprint sim (g5 plus) for my phone while calling sprint to get into this plan. Can I port to sprint ( sign up tmobile number first) by calling into this plan and get the sprint sim card later. What are the cheapest option for me to get unlocked g5 plus sim card for sprint plan.
Before you do this deal make sure you have everything you need so you can just call them once and hopefully finish everything. You can buy sims at Best Buy ($10), their mobile reps can help you choose the right sim for your phone.

I have a question about phone upgrades. Sprint's webpage appears to imply that even if you upgrade after the 120 day lockout period you will still lose the remaining free months if you buy your new phone from anybody other than Sprint. For example, replacing my iPhone 6s this fall at the Apple Store with the latest iPhone model. Is this a correct reading of the T&C?

Did you mean Swap phone?
This is BYOD deal. It mean that you can swap your phone anytime with no fee, right?

I got a sim card and unlocked phone. I am ordering tmobile digital sim. I am thinking about porting my OOMA number to tmobile and to sprint. how difficult is to port OOMA number to tmobile. I can get GV for international calling and ditch ooma setup. we have this new sprint phone as back up at home. Any one tried porting ooma number to tmobile.

Thanks
