Hi

I am with ATT and account/billing is under my name however my wife uses the phone. Is it possible to port the number from my account (she has iPhone8 plus and it qualifies for free one year -confirmed with Sprint rep) to her newly opened account on Sprint? I don't want credit check on my history.

Also, is it possible to double dip on Sprint Advantage promotion with this promotion?

Thanks

I don't see any problem with doing that. They will ask for account number and pin and possibly name on the account, but it shouldn't matter as long as she hasn't had a sprint postpaid account in the last 45 days. No double dipping AFAIK.

People have posted that Sprint has stopped sending our Airaves since many / most phones now have wifi calling.

If you do not have wifi and data coverage is the problem rather than voice, they will send a Magic Box if you talk to tech. support and make a case. I have one. However those are out of stock right now because a new version is coming out in a couple of weeks.

That's what they sent me. Yikes what am I supposed to do with something like that?? I have Wifi already so don't really need it. Although I did purchase a Moto G5 Plus and it does NOT support wifi calling. I do seem to get coverage on it in the house tho. Not the best so not sure what I'm going to do with that phone. Works great on the road Frown but you won't know if you have missed calls being in the house.

I really suggest phones that support Sprint features fully, including Wifi Calling, such as the Moto G6 Play. Any new phone sold by Sprint will have these features.

People recommend other Moto phones a lot that only half-heartedly support Sprint. I would not touch them myself.

We are going to see the same thing over again when VoLTE comes out in a few months. All of the people with these Moto phones that were never sold by Sprint and that lack support of full Sprint features are going to be left out again.

Probably should have invested in a better phone but this one was pretty cheap and I wasn't sure how Sprint would work and if this program would die on the vine and Sprint is not my favorite network. I did purchase 2 of the Moto 6 Play and I should have returned the Moto G5. Oh well it will work for other family members that don't use the phone much in the house. Only spent around $100 on it so not that bad. I'm past the 30 day return time frame Frown

I'm a bit confused on the use someone else's SSN instruction – is this referring to basically setting up the account in someone else's name entirely and then just adding your number to it?

Or, is there some way to add the number back to original account with a different SSN (which now that I've typed seems unlikely, but thought I'd check).

Are people planning to make a new account (under new name/SSN)?
This is my question as well from reading the latest posts in this thread. Are you all using a spouse's SSN to re-up another year?

Hi,

Did the deal with a Moto E4 and the appropriate Boost Mobile card SIMQLW416Q, but now phone gives Hidden Menu Invalid Sim Card error. Any ideas? I'll call Sprint tomorrow, but would love to get it working tonight.

It still works for me. I add the SIM card to my cart, put woutfreesim into the coupon code box, and hit apply. It brings the price down to zero. When I go through the rest of the steps, shipping is also free, even if I choose the $12 shipping.
Weeks later, but is it still working for you when you try it? With the sim in cart and adding the code, I'm getting this error:

Quote :
The promotion code submitted can not be applied in combination with the other codes that have already been applied.
No other codes applied by me. Guessing they've killed it due to the SD effect. On the whistleout site they're still promoting that code/offer... tried on 3 browsers.

I suspect they are incentivized to sell the protection plan, and don't care if you cancel. My 2nd rep actually told me to do this. I didn't press on why we couldn't simply not have protection plan to begin with, but I've worked with sales people and I got the drift.
Well I cannot say for sure, but in almost all industries sales people are charged back at the very least if the customer cancels. I suspect it may be a demerit if the customer cancels right away, although possibly not a huge one.

Some reps say "try it for a week (or was it 2 weeks) and then cancel", which makes me suspect that they get to keep the commission (or equivalent) if you keep it some specified period. That's why I make clear I will cancel it 5 minutes later if they put it on. It seems to work for me. Also people report that if you cancel it the same day then it never even appears on your account.

It looks like HD streaming is no longer part of the deal for those of you signing up now. They must've removed it when the deal was extended to 9/30/19.

"Savings until 09/30/19; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo for line 2 and $20/mo/line for lines 3-5. Reqs. AutoPay (discount applied w/in 2 invoices), new account, bring your own eligible device & Sprint SIM card. Savings claim compared to AT&T Unlimited and Verizon Go Unlimited rate plans for 1 line as of 6/28/18. Video streams up to 480p, music up to 500 Kbps, gaming up to 2 Mbps. Data deprioritization during congestion. Other monthly charges apply.**"
