No this is first time I have opened account with Sprint. I had register for AA Advantage promo earlier in the month.
OK it's just an error then. We have not seen that one often.

When you say "account shows promo expires on 4/30/2019" I assume you are referring to what is displayed on DashBoard/ Manage Plan/ See Details. That is what you want to look at - not anything else.

Assuming that is the case, if you chat with regular Customer Support (as opposed to Sales) they will correct it in such a way that it shows properly. Chatting is better than calling because you get a transcript which you can use later to prove what was said.

I guess we sat on this for a little too long. I did end up getting two lines previously with the Kickstart plan on my account. Another family member was going to open up an new account and port in a line for this deal, primarily for the added hotspot and HD video. According to some posts here and now Sprint's site, it looks like this free plan now offers more or less the same as the Kickstart plan did with no hotspot and "SD" video streams (obviously at a lower cost)?

I switched to the new plan for 1 day and then came running back to Xfinity Mobile. SD video, no hotspot, and horrible data speeds where I live. (Highest I saw was 4Mbps, where I regularly see 20-30Mbps with Verizon). Xfinity has also started limiting streams to SD, but supposedly tomorrow we can call in and have HD activated for free on an interim basis. No word yet about how much they may charge for this "privilege" in the future. 🙄

ya,,,a little odd that the free plan would be better than the paid $15 plan..in terms of speeds

(not taking into account the 1 year end v no end date difference)

So after signing up for the free plan about 10 days ago, I received my first bill and it was for around $10. Now $5 of it is fees and taxes - but it looks like the rep did not sign me up for autopay - even though she specifically mentioned it on the phone call when I signed up.

I have added autopay a few days ago as the first payment is not due for another 2 weeks- but it didn't change that first bill.

And easy way to get Sprint to credit me the $5 autopay on this initial bill?

Billing chat will probably credit it on request.

Do not call TeleSales for this since they focus on Sales not billing.

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

I am nearing the end of my free year and would like to port out to T-Mobile and back to Sprint to get a second free year. My problem is that I bought my phones directly from Apple and am still paying through their financing directly. Has anyone been able to switch to Sprint while they were still paying through Apple? I'd hate to port out and give myself the shaft, so to speak.

I wasn't sure if they were just checking on being financed through them or another carrier or if Apple financing counted as well. When I check on swaps it does say "Financed".

Any help is greatly appreciated! If there is a way I know I can find it here.

They no longer provide Airaves because all phones sold by Sprint for the past 2 or 3 years now have wifi calling built in.
I hope not :|

Wifi calling does nothing for SMS delivery. I could not get SMS at the office until I got an Airave.

I re-upped 1yearfree on July 8th under the old terms with 1080p video and 10GB mobile hotspot.

Can I still add lines to my account under the old terms or will the added lines (and possibly the old lines) be subjected to the new July 13th terms: 480p video and no mobile hotspot?

Old deal would be the old terms in my opinion, even for added lines. After all, the details are formally documented in your account. But we need someone to verify by doing it (I would not expect the often-wrong reps to be able to give a reliable answer ahead of time).

It's also interesting, I think (and in line with your posts), that they were able to switch to a revised offer in mid month with no notice despite certain people having shared supposedly inside knowledge with us that the current free plan offer was locked in to to the end of the month.

We now have confirmation that they can change the offer any time they feel like it.

iOS phones: SMS (text) is supported in Wi-Fi Calling mode. MMS (pictures and group texts) requires cellular coverage. Apple's iMessage to other iOS devices is supported over Wi-Fi.

I signed up on the 12 on two of my phones. Added one more yesterday. All three phones has 10gb hotspot. The plan you initially signed up stay the same.
