Just check the Sprint LG G6 and it is eligible for this deal. It was not eligible when I checked them about 6 months ago.

Yeah all Sprint phones can be activated but at times the checkers have rejected some erroneously and you had to call or even swap them on at times.

It is good to know that have fixed that for the LG G6. Of course time lapse could be a factor too.

Or just order it from the Boost web site with code SUMMER to get the same price. Do NOT buy it in a Boost store though as they will not sell it in their stores without activation.
wow. ordering it from the boost website with the "summer" 20% off is awesome. you don't need to even go to a stupid store and argue with the reps. lol... the most you can order is 2 phones. dunno if the phone comes with the sim kit. if not one can easily go to best buy or target and buy the BYOD sim kit.

from Boosts website....

How it works....

I just copy and pasted this from boost's website... but please don't pick a plan or activate it on boost!!!

Order today
Wait for your phone to arrive
Pick a plan and activate online.......activate on Sprint! And the plan is the 1 year free byod promo!

then run and port/use it on Sprint. :-)...

upon further reading boost's website....

"What's included" when you order...sim card included!!!

moto g6 play
USB 2.0 Cable
Charger
Important Information Booklet
Get Started Guide (English/Spanish)
SIM Card Installed

As you note, people should NOT pick a plan on Boost or activate on Boost AT ALL.

Activate directly on this plan on Sprint in the normal way with a number from anywhere to port in.

If anyone activated on Boost they would not be able to activate on Sprint.

Perfect. It was clear that you meant that but I just did not want anyone to take the Boost web site verbiage literally. You have indeed now been explicit on that for newbies.

In fact I love your detailed steps!

It's really the better option if you don't mind waiting. Because a certain cashback site has 8% off, which about covers any sales tax. Besides saving time & gas driving to the store...

It took me a couple of minutes to figure this out, but there is an LG G6 and a Motorola Moto G6 Play. No fault of the posters here, but if you are investigating a deal, make sure you know which phone you are investigating.

I said no and the rep acknowledged my response, but he added the insurance anyway. I didn't think to check and didn't find out until my first bill was issued.
Last year when I signed up, it was added to my lines without any conversation. Luckily I was checking the account out and found it and cancelled online. Crappy, but true.

Thanks everyone for the advice and wiki but I had a quest about getting a new number to port over. I see the one method mentioned is Google Voice but when I look for a new number the only thing coming up for me is a random area code in Delaware. Any way to get a new number to port over besides Google Voice?

Sometimes, I feel like I'm making a mistake not hoping on this deal. I currently use T-Mobile but rarely use the cellular network in buildings regardless of reception. I use the WiFi network for better coverage.

Could potentially save $130 a month (including taxes and regulatory fees).

How do I test the Sprint Network without compromising my current line of service (without porting)?

Can I port in from a MNVO instead?
