FYI: I was able to jump from virgin to sprint by parking my number at numberbarn.com for $7. Mostly seamless. You cannot jump directly from virgin.

I just received my SIM card that I ordered online, but cannot find a link to activate it online for the free plan, only to activate for the paid plan. I don't want to screw it up, so can someone please help and send me a link? Thanks.

Hi, I searched the thread as well as the web, but did not find an answer. So I did two Boost Moto G6 Play successful ports. However, the speed for making/sending and receiving calls/texts/pictures in texts are just absolutely slow. Any solutions?

Tried to port Freedompop (AT&T) line to Sprint today and it was taking longer than usual. Called back to the Spring porting department and told me the port is approved for activation 4 days from now! That means no phone number for 4 days..... They blame it on FP for dragging their feet and I believe them. Quite inconvenient nonetheless.

They mean FP has approved the port for that date.

I would contact FP and ask if they can expedite it. But FP uses small local carriers in some areas and that may be what the local carrier has scheduled - Monday.

You may think it is an AT&T number but it is not. FP uses AT&T or Sprint connectivity but never AT&T or Sprint numbers. They are always VOIP / Landline numbers and these are allowed to quote longer port times.

Thanks, but how to contact FP? They don't publish any phone numbers.

There are lots of threads on that and also FP Social Media reps.

I guess you can call Sprint port dept back and ask if they can request the other carrier to expedite it.

Otherwise, there is probably nothing you can do. Some of the small local VOIP carriers used by FP in smaller areas across the country quote 24-48 hour turnaround, business hours only, excluding weekends. The bigger, better known ones that FP uses in most areas, such as bandwidth.com, are fine.

also contact the port dept again and see if they can move things along
