Sorry.. i fixed the phone number Typo.. I indeed called 1-866-782-8777 and they said it's a prepaid device and cannot be activated.
I wonder if you had turn on the phone with the Sim card inside? I had made sure to remove them before turning on the Moto e4s I helped a friend get on Sprint. I wanted to have the latest updates before activating on Sprint.

Yup, you have to call CS or chat with them online and give them the g6 play's IMEI and sim number so they can switch your phone service over to the g6 play. Just do not mention at all that it's a Boost mobile branded phone. Some people said if you instant chat at night the CS team writing to you is from another country and they don't even ask you what phone it is, just the IMEI and sim number.

Also do not power on the phone until you've activated it with Sprint as it will lock the phone to Boost.
Thanks will try. Hope I don't mess up.

I hate to have to ask, but what's the next best port out option besides Tmobile? I got the Tmobile ebay SIMs, but guiding my family member through using it has been less than fruitful. Took many hours over two days to finally get a Tmobile rep on the phone and then they were giving the third degree about the SIM number and wouldn't go through with it. I know the real answer is more calls, but I don't have the possibility right now.

The Tmobile phone number being used was the suggested number in the forum post, is there a better number? Located in mid-Atlantic if region matters at all.

Is GV the next best option? Looks like it's $20 to port in, but have done very little research. At this point I'd be willing to eat the extra cost for a more convenient port in-port out option.

Trying to juggle five family lines off my soon-to-expire free year onto another free year, and everyone's in a different city and has different work schedules and blah blah blah life is hard for everyone.

no need to call. When you port into Sprint that automatically cancels your Verizon account

Can some one actually successfully got this to work??? I just check my iPad mini 4 and say eligible. Can some one tell me how the experience was from start to end . Trying go thru comments but haven't seen one that actually signed up
Read the small disclaimer right above the box you enter the phone IMEI.
Something like, Tablets are ineligible for this promotion.
You can signup or call to activate but it will be put on a tablet plan and it won't be free.

Try prepaid.t-mobile.com. Choose pay as you go. Cost is $3 plus tax. If sim number is not working then you need to contact eBay member and get a new one.

Most people have success. Read wiki. You can call Sprint porting Dept if taking too long.

Doable, but it's like pulling teeth. It can take several days and multiple phone calls.

Good morning everyone,
So I called and activated my lines, I signed up for sprint online and it says monthly cost $8, plan cost $5 total discounts $10....Does that seem right? That math does not add up to free. Also the rep added the phone insurance on both lines even though I told him repeatedly not to...I can remove it right? Thanks.

I moved my third number over to Sprint from Tello this morning, using the same virtual SIM for T-mobile for all three. I called T-mobile at 6:40 am mountain time and was told the wait was 23-36 minutes. I followed the prompts for a call back, which came in 20 minutes. Notably, they asked for a birthday, but not a name. Total call was 12 minutes.

I waited until the Tello account showed that the call history and balance had been wiped. Then, I checked the Sprint IMEI and number checker. It showed eligible. I did NOT have to contact Tello or Literally Unlimited to flip the flag.

Then I called Sprint to add the line to my existing account. First, she tried hard to sell me an iPad for $4.17/month, to the point that I thought she was going to hang up on me when I kept declining. She did not give me a choice on the TEP insurance, but I let it go, knowing I can remove it from the phone later today. Then, she did not believe me that the T-mobile account was just the phone number with a 1 in front of it. Finally, she kept getting stuck on a physical address, even though I know T-mobile did not have one. It was a painful 45 minute call, but the port was successful and the phone is now working.

Thanks to all of the people who have kept the wiki up to date, providing such detailed information!
