Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

False answer..
absolutely it is incorrect.
you need a Sprint so called "calling plus" compatible phone...iPhone is not
this article may help https://pocketnow.com/calling-plu...e-in-calls [pocketnow.com]
I see, so only certain phones can do voice+data simultaneously. Thank you.

Check model number. Settings/general/about tap model.
If A1660 it will work on all carriers cdma/gsm. If A1778 it will not work on Sprint because A1778 gsm only.
iPhones are not really carrier branded(never see carrier bloat) so you should always check model number.
(The part number can also be checked but it also includes info on originating carrier/memory size/color and is much harder to decipher)
The A1660 is intended for use on all carriers as it compatible with cdma and gsm. The A1778 is intended for gsm only so will not work on Sprint which uses cdma for voice and 3g data.
When we say GSM we really mean it includes networks that use UMTS and LTE for voice and data. Cdma networks like sprint use Cdma for voice and 3G data but also use LTE for high speed data.
A1660 here! wow really?! I thought I was just going to pass this deal up but you may have just saved me 2k for a year! lol why do they say "only verizon iphone 7" then though? maybe too complicated to mention the A1660 vs A1778 thing

In some cases the universal model has been supplied for AT&T service (eg. if you buy at BestBuy).

Check the model number in Settings.

I suspect you will find you are ok since the checker is usually right!
Yess all 3 iPhone 7 on my account were purchased from BB. My wife and I both A1660 model. Just have to check my mother's but it was from BB as well

I thought so.

So you are fine!

Best Buy uses the same universal model for all carriers so as to simplify its inventory management.

Just did the deal told around $10 in taxes and fees a month. Took 30 min for account set up and phone completely set up. Pretty easy overall
Yes it is. Most of this thread is for issues like having a Sprint mvno so porting becomes somewhat Serpentine. Easy peasy.

So I have 2 phones on a cricket account. One a Google pixel XL and the other a Google pixel. I checked the IMEI of the Google Pixel XL and it said it wasn't eligible. I called and same problem, but they accepted and ported over the Google Pixel without issue.
Anyone have an idea why my Google Pixel XL IMEI will not work in their system? It is unlocked and sprint customer service hasn't been very helpful. Anyone run into this problem and find a solution? I am about to sell my phone on eBay and buy another (same phone) and give it a try.

Other little tidbit. Another in our group broke a phone. I had a moto E4 that I bought a couple of months ago online through Boost Mobile. Called* 2 customer service to activate it. She could not. Transferred me to tech support. After 20 minutes or so she got it activated.
I did not do anything special or tell tall stories or cajole or beg. They just helped me.
For the life of me I don't understand all the animosity towards Sprint customer service. If anything I've had better reps here then with any other cell phone companies.
There. Now don't we all feel better?

If it was ever on Project Fi or another Sprint mvno, it needs to have the mvno flag turned off. Google Fi tech support Chat can do that for you.

Also run it in the Ting checkers as that may add it to the Sprint database incidentally.

Otherwise Sprint can do it if you persevere with them. They might have to add the IMEI if the above did not fix it.

Yes, and from every other non-Sprint carrier and non-carrier (including even Google Voice etc) as per the Wiki.
The wiki is not very clear... It should say all prepaid and mvnos work near the top rather than having to read all that for vague answers.

Thanks. I called fi and they removed it from their list. I will call sprint on Tuesday and hopefully everything is resolved.

I didn't mean to sound as if I was complaining, just encouraging others to read the wiki generally speaking. There will always be occasions for clarifications which is fine.

It says that they will Port out my number to their Network. I have Ting. Will I be able to Port my number back to Ting when this promo ends?

Yes you can port out to Sprint mvno's from Sprint. I have done so.

However, just for this free offer, you cannot port IN directly from Sprint mvno's, at least from the CDMA side in the case of Ting.

Also you will have to get the mvno flag released when you port out from Ting in most cases. You would be porting out from Ting first to a temporary mvno such as Sprint prepaid, then to Sprint.

This all assumes it is on the CDMA side of Ting now. If it in on the GSM side, these problems should not exist.
