Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I've chatted online and tried calling them, they will no longer let you use a Sprint SIM card purchased anywhere but online thru their offer page.
I do not know what you are referring to but of course you can use your sim that is EXACTLY CORRECT for YOUR model and we have people here posting every day doing so. In fact it is the best way to do it. You must call the TeleSales number (only) to do so. Do not ask them, just do it. If they ask where you got the sim, say from a Sprint store.

There is no chat support for this offer. Chat knows next to nothing about it.

It is true that if you insist on signing up online, then it will force a sim purchase from them. Maybe that's what you meant. If so, that is true.

You have to first determine WHY it is ineligible. A lot of times this is not black and white.

If it lacks Sprint's bands, it can never get on and if it did it would not work.
It's an iPhone 5s

A1533
mdm2ll/a

According to what I could find it's a T-Mobile phone with the following specs:

"Model A1533 (GSM): This is the GSM version of model A1533 which is being sold locked and unlocked for AT&T and T-Mobile. This is also the SIM-free international version of iPhone 5S, which doesn't include a nano-SIM card. It supports 11 LTE bands LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25), UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz) and GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)."

Sprint compatible?

Sprint compatible?
No. The phone needs to AT LEAST be CDMA compatible. Your phone is GSM only.

Darnit, the seller promised it would work with Sprint. Oh well, thanks for the reply!

Well I just ported in two lines from AT&T, and in the process got a few questions answered:

- Boost iPhone 6s was able to be activated without issue even though it was unlocked via Ebay (originally purchased online)
-The Sprint site will reject a phone if it's not unlocked
-Device changes are available at any time thru the support dept.
-You can add a new line for now but it's unclear when the promotion will end

-You can add a new line with the free 1 year plan any time before the 1 year period expires, assuming you have one already

The last 2 were according to the rep, so they include an obligatory YMMV. Some of these may have been obvious to others but I wasn't sure.

Edit:

Now off to remove the Sprint Complete plan : )
The no device mods within the first four months is not correct. I've been on this plan for less than two and earlier this week swapped out a phone on one of my lines for a new Boost Motorola G6 Play.

And you didn't get any charges or change to the plan? That's interesting, bc I'd like to change phones but am afraid of charges.

Has something changed with activation if you use the online portal? Was hooking my cousin up with service and didn't want to waste time hunting down the SIM, so just ordered online for $13.

Activated online and the email confirmation days "$30 activation fee"

But I never faced this when I got service. Is this normal or has something changed? The site still says free activation.

Sorry if answered already.

No charges. I even got an email of the change with no mention of charges. The rule is that you cannot upgrade through Sprint either through a purchase with payments or a flex-lease within the first four months. You can swap in any Sprint compatible phone that you own onto an already established line at any time.

If the activation fee appears on your account, online chat should be able to remove it.

What the reps may SAY varies widely but has nothing to do with the actual policy, which is perfectly clear.

You can do IMEI swap phones at any time. This is done through Support, not TeleSales, and has nothing to do with TeleSales so they know nothing about it. Many of us do them all the time, starting immediately after account activation.

Sprint phone upgrade promotions are available only after 4 months, and ONLY through TeleSales or Online.

How long you waited to swap IMEI and SIM number? My Xs Max isn't eligible but chat confirmed it is so I am thinking of transferring from T-Mobile while using an iPhone 7. After the account is up, then chat with Sprint to swap to my Xs Max and new SIM
