Can I activate using one phone and use the Sprint SIM card on another phone? Would it work automatically or should I call Sprint to re-activate it.

No no. Sprint sims cannot be moved around. Sim card stays with the phone. Good article in the wiki. You should read it.

It is a fixed date 12 to 15 months out that is announced periodically.

Currently that fixed date is 11/30/2019 for ALL new subscribers.

So i was able to get the phone activated and ported. However, now my account shows monthly cost of $50 and the agent told me i'd get a call within 24 hours (from this morning) to change my plan to the free plan since i had to be "escalated" How legit is that? Can they actually change my plan after it's on my account? If they don't call, who do i call at this point?

Yes call the credit dept direct at 800-639-6116 and they can give you a different identity verification quiz based off your credit report instead of off public domain record sources.

Oh I see hodaddy got that.

Note that different departments approach this kind of issue in different ways, so there are several ways to work on this, some of which unfortunately leave you sitting there waiting indefinitely while they "investigate" and while the 30 or 15 day period of the money-back satisfaction guarantee ticks away.

If they do not call, and you want a definitive and quick resolution, I would call Cancellations at 1-888-211-4727 and ask them to CANCEL and replace your plan under the 15 day money back guarantee. You must use the word Cancel clearly and NOT just start explaining your problem.

There are other routes too.
