Yeah, they said there was no problem, it was just still processing. I told them that Sprint would charge me $60 if it wasn't completed today and they said they couldn't promise me anything.
Quote from comintel :
Sure all sorts of people have posted - it is eligible. Ignore the checkers (which are having problems) and just call and sign up. Do NOT do it online. First you will have to get sim ending in (for Xs) 516TQ or 416TQ from an Apple store or a Sprint store etc.

This assumes it is Xs not X but unlocked X would be eligible too with a different sim.
Awesome! Yes, she just bought the iPhone XS and we were bummed when we did the online checker and it said it was invalid. We'll call them in the AM when they're open again. Thanks!

EDIT: I have my old SIM from my Essential PH-1 that's no longer active. I believe it's the same size as the iPhone XS. Would that SIM not work? Thanks again!

No the sim has to be exact (not just same size) depending on model and that one is not the same.

Call only 866-782-8777.

If you go to a Sprint store, go to a Sprint-owned one as franchisees do not want to sell these or charge a huge markup.

Currently trying to port my number out to T-Mobile online. Was getting the grayed out Continue button, but now it's started giving the error "Number not eligible for transfer" when I put in my existing number. I checked my spouse's non-Sprint number too and got the same error. And when the page loads to the "Get a new number" option by default, it shows the error "No numbers are available in your area" lol

Anyone else get this? Is T-Mobile blocking ports now or something?

Does anyone know if or when the Apple iPhone XS would be available? My wife just bought one new and unlocked from Apple and is currently on T-mobile, but her device isn't eligible. Has anyone had any luck with the Apple iPhone X (non-Verizon) on the 1 year free BYOD?

Thanks!
Forget the iPhone, it is not compatible with Sprint VoLTE

Just signed up with my iPhone X. If the service is shit, can I cancel and go to another provider before the year is up with the same phone?

Xs will support VoLTE

but you are right that it does not quite yet (despite the wording in this image) and actually I agree also that iPhones generally do not perform as well on Sprint as some other phones. The new Xs'd use Intel chips that are inferior clones of the Qualcomm ones in terms of performance.

Hi all. At this point, what are the best/newest devices that are still eligible for this BYOD promo? I currently own a Note 5 on T-mob, however, due for an upgrade & prefer Samsung, Apple or Pixel phones. Thanks for your insights!

Sure. Just port your number out at any time to kill the plan and account and end your obligation. (See Wiki)

Yes. After running the credit check successfully, I have started the porting process.

HAHAHAHAHHAHHA.... Unfortunately I am a current Sprint customer and I find your evaluation of the service wrong. IT'S NOT EVEN WORTH IT WHEN ITS FREE!!!! I MEAN THIS WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!!!!

I have service. 3 lines on the account. Always pay the bill off every month. Have an iPhone 8, Kyocera Duraforce Pro, and a Samsung Galaxy s9. Data sucks inside and outside wherever we are at. Especially if we are inside. If there's no wifi there then your screwed if you need reliability, performance, or stability. Well for my phone I CANNOT MAKE OR RECEIVE CALLS unless I am connected to WiFi calling. I can get text msgs and data but no calls. Sprint has checked this out with phone techs(plural), store techs(plural), manufacturers replacement, different SIM cards, and finally different devices. No o BEST SERVICEne has a damn clue. This is what you can surely expect from this service. They are flat out ridiculous and not worth it. I wish we had stayed with MetroPCS. They are on TMobiles network and EVERYONE KNOWS T-MOBILE IS THE BEST NOW. BEST SERVICE BEST PRICES ALL AROUND.....
Well, my experience with Sprint was somewhat similar.

As far as TMO is concerned, we are with them for 2 years now. Service is okay, but not as good as VZ. We had issues getting call drops in the house so they connected a LTE generator which works off MY OWN WIRELESS. So basically they are ensuring that I get calls using my own service, rather than their service which I am paying for. I also see dead spot in the middle of highway in Northern VA/ DC region. You would think TMO would have covered highways US capital of all places, but no so.

VZ had no such issues whatsoever. Based on using TMO, Sprint and VZ, I would say VZ is still the best by wide margin. TMO is second and Sprint, oh well, IMHO just not worth the hassles

Is it possible to swap a phone number that is currently active on one free BYOD account directly to an ALREADY PROPERLY ACTIVATED line on a separate free BYOD account (wife's SSN), thereby eliminating an intermediate step of porting it out and back in?

Got my first Sprint bill. 1st bill credit for the phone already there! Was tempted to not send my trade in phone but not going to chance it. Also all other charges correct too! Great job so far Sprint!
