Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

That's what I'm afraid of. I didn't have a ton of time, so once the three days passed I needed to port out to avoid a full month at $60. How do you check to see if it is still locked? Just try another sim card in it?
I tried different sim and also went to uicc unlock. You should try that. It's in setting, system update.

Thanks. Yes, I initiated the unlock by phone. I only checked on the status by chat. I did successfully port this out to a digital tmobile sim yesterday before trying to port it over to mint. So does that mean it was unlocked if I could port it to the digital tmobile sim?

I can call Sprint about it. But I no longer have an account with them so I don't know if they can still unlock it.
I think as long as you know your password to the prior account they can still do it.

You can put in your prior account number at the prompt when calling them at the number I gave.

I am not sure about the significance of what you experienced re the sims.

I activated my 2 devices recently on 1 year free BYOD plan. on my first bill they charged me 2 x $30 activation charge. Is that normal ? chatting with rep they said thats charged one time and cant be reversed.

I thought you get credit for the same somewhere. Can anyone please shed some light here.

TIA !!

The on-line rep is lying.
The website clearly says and highlighted " No annual contracts, no activation fees - a $30 savings!"

Website shows: "Your $30 activation fee is waived as part of this promotion. The fee will appear on your first bill and a credit will appear within 2 bills."

If you sign up over the phone then I believe they're able to waive it upfront

Thanks. I didn't know where that was. Yes my phone is still locked (despite what they told me). OK, I will call in and see what I can do.

Just saw $30 activation fee on my 1st bill. How can I get it reversed?
I mean I would rather not pay for it from the beginning. Instead of having $30 credit on my account.

Super easy. You can do it yourself online.

well. when they set up my account, they had my email address wrong. so i guess i will have to fix it first for online access.

if i change to a different phone, would it be one of those existing one? or anyone that should work... like my cheap blu phone?

I think you need an active Sprint sim to perform the sim unlock. Goto setting, system update, uicc unlock. Tap on uicc unlock and it will do the unlocking process.

I ported my Sprint account to Total wireless on 8/13/2018 and now trying to get the 1 year BYOD service again. I'm getting the run around from telesales. First rep said I qualified and got all my info, SIM #, SS#, etc. He was saying I would need to insert my new SIM in the device.... then the line went dead. I called back and spoke with another rep who found my old account and said the promotion ended on Sept 30th (yesterday), that I will need to sign up for standard service. My old account has a zero balance as of 8/8/18. Whats the deal? its been 45 days.
