Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

The account number is your phone number. I ported in and out of Sprint just yesterday using a Tmobile prepaid digital sim
This was definitely not the case for me. Would have made things so much easier if it was the case.

Wish I had seen this before I had already initiated with Tmobile prepaid SIM. Frown

Such a headache. Still not completed.
I feel your pain......I started the Tmobile ebay eSim-card way, than I give up and reverted to NumberBarn.

Got all my 3 lines ported over from T-Mobile and all working correctly now. Took 3 weeks to buy CDMA phones, return wrong phones and hunt down compatible SIM cards. Thanks everyone especially desi_babu_2010, comintel, hodaddy and xoneinax

There are levels of SWAC?

Im hoping the $15 KS comes back (highly unlikely).
Now that most people have 1 or 2 years of free cell service, is hard to pay $30 per month. $15 i wouldn't like it but could live with.
Yes here are the two current levels:
https://www.sprint.com/content/da...update.pdf

(most other links are out of date).

But only $30 and $50 levels are open currently for new subscribers.

You never know, we could conceivably see a KickStart flash promo at $15 on Black Friday. It is also conceivable that the Free promo could still be open at end of April which is my coming free plan expiry.

I could actually do without hotspot now because PDANet+ gives both Wifi connection and tethered connection easily for Android devices. I have been testing it and it works perfectly even for Wifi with one connected Android device. You can also connect an iPad too but it is a little more work.

I spoke to the Sprint rep but they want the IMEI # from the phone. The box only has an MEID # on it. If I open the box I think I'll get hit with a restocking fee should it not work and need to be returned.

In your estimation are the odds pretty good it should work if opened?

Edit: Just saw the reply above. So probably a no go?
Yes the "you owe Sprint" message means Boost pre-activated it at shipment time to prevent you activating it on Postpaid. Boost web sales started doing this recently.

Try for an RMA - you must request inside 7 days. See https://www5.boostmobile.com/?ECI...rn-policy/ for the phone number.
j
The new preactivation block may only apply to units shipped out directly to customers by Boost. Sales through Walmart and other retailers may not be affected (try for a price match). That is my expectation but I cannot be sure yet.

You can convert the MEID to IMEI by entering it in the Swappa checker and give it a try that way if you want..

Lol, you got lucky that the full port to Tmobile had not completed yet. Mine had, so I was stuck. Getting the account number was such a pain, since it was not the expected 1+phonenumber.

Even now, I've managed to port back into Sprint, but the SIM in my phone is not registered on the site. Somehow, data, calls, and texts, all appear to be working, but I know that's not ideal and I'll need to resolve the issue sooner than later.

The link would be https://www.boostmobile.com/phone...OT19227BBB

but it looks as if the additional 20% discount is not available right now. I am sure it will be back. They take it on and off periodically.
Thanks for the info. will try.

quick confirmation: so this phone supports both GSM and CDMA? how can i find the GSM 4G bands of this particular model that i would buy from walmart considering i find it & that i will be able to proce match?
Will this phone be unlocked?

it is GSM compatible, but must be unlocked. According to multiple posts in this thread, it can be unlocked after 50 days of service.

Rolanda answered most and I agree with those answers.
I see Best Buy has it too for $129 and will price match also.
Bands are shown at https://www.bestbuy.com/site/boos...Id=6216346

If you can get it on Sprint postpaid, they will unlock after 50 days.
People have already used them on Verizon, AT&T etc. after unlock.

I got all my numbers done but one shows up as "BYOFD" any idea what that means? Plans identical to my other two lines. Brought over three Verizon iPhones.

Ahh I see, tricky they are. I ended up escalating it with the rep and they made a ticket, saying they'd have to "re-SKU" the phone. I'm not sure what that means but I'm not very hopeful it's going to work.

I already have the RMA # and tomorrow is day 6 since it was received so I think I'm just going to pop it in the mail to avoid any problems. This was kinda a last ditch effort.

Maybe I'll give Boost @ Walmart a try as the S7 I received is having problems already. It's kinda hard to find phones that work with Sprint.

Thanks for the reply!

Actually re-sku should work if they are willing to do it. Re-sku means change the branding of the phone, recorded in the device maintenance database, in this case from Boost to Sprint to allow it to be activated. The team processing the ticket might decline though. I just do not know.

I do not know whether calling Boost and asking for a 3 day extension might work or not. Certainly do not risk losing the return though, since odds are mixed at best.
