Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Ahh I see, tricky they are. I ended up escalating it with the rep and they made a ticket, saying they'd have to "re-SKU" the phone. I'm not sure what that means but I'm not very hopeful it's going to work.

I already have the RMA # and tomorrow is day 6 since it was received so I think I'm just going to pop it in the mail to avoid any problems. This was kinda a last ditch effort.

Maybe I'll give Boost @ Walmart a try as the S7 I received is having problems already. It's kinda hard to find phones that work with Sprint.

Thanks for the reply!
I don't know. The clock's-a-ticking. I would just try and get another rep to do it. My rep said that they needed a colleague to do something that he wasn't familiar with. I assumed that it was to add the IMEI to their system. I was on hold for about 15 minutes and then he came back to say everything was OK and they could proceed. Just curious. Did you give them the HEX or DEC version of the MEID? What exactly did they say? I never had to open a ticket for this and I did two G6s.

So, a paid-off VZW S7E is not comptible?
No, the branded versions of that slightly older Samsung model are not compatible with Sprint's bands, as the eligibility list makes explicit.

My 1 year is ending next month. It has been a great and super cheap experience paying only $3 per month. What is everyone else doing at the end of their 1 yr? Keeping the service or switching? One minor irritation was being unable to surf the web while on a call. (I have a Note 8).
Enrolled in a 2nd year free with a different SSN

You can do both at the same time using LTE Calling Beta if you have a branded version Note 8 (any brand) under Calling Plus and a strong signal, or using Wifi Calling also of course.

Otherwise wait for VoLTE coming out over next few months (gradual rollout).

Nice going. What phone are u using? Are you near a major metro area? I've hit gigabit speeds with my LG G6 in a few select areas.

Don't forget if you have Sprint and AAA --sign up for your free AAA renewal:
https://promo.sprint.com/AAA/Register

I saw this at an auto shop... I don't know if you can get your initial membership paid for though, or if it's just renewal? I just bought it last week as I needed the membership anyhow. I signed up for my renewal and they are verifying it now.

I've had Verizon since I was probably 14 and been with them for over 15 years now. Sprint coverage is awful, but I can't believe I'm going to save over $1K a year on my cell bill. Best post for 2018!

You never know, we could conceivably see a KickStart flash promo at $15 on Black Friday. It is also conceivable that the Free promo could still be open at end of April which is my coming free plan expiry.

I could actually do without hotspot now because PDANet+ gives both Wifi connection and tethered connection easily for Android devices. I have been testing it and it works perfectly even for Wifi with one connected Android device. You can also connect an iPad too but it is a little more work.
that would be awesome..will look out for it ...if (big if) it comes back

HS is nice to have and i have used it on occasions.
we discussed PDANet+ a few months back.
at that time, my impression was u could only connect via cable (at least on the free plan)

are u saying now , u can connect wireless ?

so phone A has S unlim data (with pda installed)

phone B smartphone with no data (or even a cell # for that matter)

i can connect phone b to a without wires (wi fi)

Yes. IF you use WiFi direct, which... unfortunately... generates a new, random SSID and pwd every time you use it. Totally kills the convenience. What I do is USB connect my phone to a Win10 laptop and reshare the PDANet connection using Win10's built-in WiFi sharing. (Your laptop's WiFi has to be able to support this. If not, buy a WiFi card/dongle that does.) If you're not on Win10, there are other solutions. I remember, ages ago, there was a wildly popular piece of s'ware called Connectify that shared your WiFi connection. And it was free. But then, suddenly, it added a ton of new features and became not free. So its popularity took a nosedive. And now, with WiFi built into the OS, there's less of a need for it.

All nexus phones are supposed to be compatible so there must be some fine print catches.
I have a Nexus 6 that I had to have them ReSKU due to it being used on Project Fi before. Took forever to find a rep who could get it done. The ticket took 3 business days. Hope that helps though.
