You can do it calling the number sign up tell them you have a sim and activate the deal. Did that on Sat done in 30 mins (second year)

no way to skip SIM order online and you will get totally screwed if you go to the store (you have been warned) LMAO

What are people using these days to get numbers on another carrier to port in? Recently discovered T-Mobile Prepaid wants a minimum $10 load before giving you a number (even if you have your own SIM and call in, not just at physical stores), don't see any penny SIM deals on ATT prepaid, etc.

So, I called 866-782-8777 and the agent put me on hold while she asked about the expiration of this offer. She said that it was not ending on October 31st.

Has anyone heard anything definitive that confirms or contradicts that?

Do not let them activate the new phone or you chance them putting it on a paid plan. Take it home and swap it in. Can be done through the online dashboard or through chat.
Thanks. Crap. They did activate it. The change would be evident on my account online?

You can but you have to call in to the special promo number. Others here said they did that and still were put on a paid plan and caused a headache getting sprint to correct it. I just but the bullet and purchased the ripoff sim online. Would if costed me $10 still buying the boost sim kit at best buy.

Thanks for posting please keep us (me) updated. I am having the same issue, took several days to port in from red pocket and now my bill says $102! I'm kinda starting to freak out. I also tried to add my wife's line. Had to create a separate account and her phone is not working at all. This has been a horrible experience. I wonder if this is all a recent change with sprints policy? I'm getting very worried if it gets close to the "14 day satisfaction guarantee" I may just have to go back to red pocket, I can't risk paying $100! For a month of service.

Has anyone else experienced issues since October 1?
I had to call again on Oct. 10 and again on Oct. 14 before my Plan was changed to the 1 year free. They credited me $60 on my $65 bill, so I am only paying $4.30 per month.

You should get a phone that supports Sprint wifi calling.

Any Sprint-branded phone for the last several years does.
In my experience, wifi calling will not pass SMS text messages. This is using a Sprint iphone 6 on a postpaid account. I now have an iphone 8, but also now using an Airave.

Edit: I see in a subsequent post that you noted that Android gets SMS via wifi.

At the Apple store now and they botched my iPhone 7 battery replacement, so they are giving me a new phone (ugh). Is this going to be a problem since I think I'm within my 4 months of starting my second go-round?

Fenton,

Emphasis on what hodaddy says:

DO NOT let them touch your plan. Do not give them your Sprint account or phone number for that purpose.

Sprint sucks with their network anyway. And now it's their customer service .they are sending free sprint router for the better network - just like 90's people had a network device booster. Lol . Thanks god i am not with them . Crap Phone company.

It sounds as if you called the wrong number and must have spoken to people unfamiliar with this offer. They assume you are not eligible since they see you called the wrong number. Call only 866-782-8777 for this offer.

I thought I remembered reading something about people possibly on eBay selling SIM cards with email delivery with the SIM card info so you do not need to wait for it to come VIA mail. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know what I'm referring to?

yes under manage plan>see details

sprint dashboard is kind of wonky right now when you click mange plan, so hopefully it gets fixed very soon, but that is where your plan information is listed. Good luck.
