Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

If I use a different SSN for signing up my 2nd year, can I use my own name or I have to use the name of the SSN holder? I want to sign up with a family member's SSN, but still keep the account under my own name, if possible.

Thanks. I read the whole thread to link you posted. VoLTE on Sprint is only in soft launch and has only rolled out to a few markers with no ETA for a national rollout. I called Sprint and the reps will not say which markets or give any timeline because its still in testing....sigh. So pretty much the same situation as Calling Plus (if you have an iPhone).
"VoLTE: Sprint's John Saw, Ph.D., said the carrier has "soft launched" VoLTE in 35 of Sprint's 99 markets. He said the service would be "commercially available" next year." https://www.fiercewireless.com/wi...ics-waffle

35 markets out of 99 is more than "a few".

VoLTE is far superior to the LTE Calling beta that was included in Wifi Calling on Android because VoLTE is guaranteed QOS whereas LTE Calling beta was best-effort only.

But LTE Calling beta was nationwide, whereas VoLTE cannot be until the necessary hardware upgrades have been made to deliver the higher quality and QOS features of VoLTE. If you are in a smaller market, it may take a while. I would expect not until well into 2019 for some small markets. There is ongoing discussion of markets and schedules on S4GRU.

I don't think so. The account would be in the person who gave his/ her SSN.

You cannot use someone else's SSN without involving them in opening the account. The account has to be opened by that person in their name. They can share it with you though. Just be with them when they call to open it and ask the rep what can be done to have it billed to you. They can probably do that. But you cannot call for them unless they are right there with you and you explain to the rep and pass the phone back and forth for the other person to approve.

You can open another account 45 days later and move the phones back to yourself (if the offer is still open).

120 days -- you can upgrade from Sprint website or by calling telesales (not at any Sprint stores or 3rd party retailers)

iPhone 6S happens to have Sprint CDMA and LTE support in the hardware in all carrier variants.
You would not have been so lucky with AT&T iPhone models 6, 7, 8 or X, even if unlocked.
is this deal still available for iPhone 6S ?

It is good to go almost right away PROVIDED

(1) The port completed - check wiki for how to check port status. Call the port status number.
(2) You have gone through all the usual resets, power cycles, profile updates for your phone to pick up a new activation. Since you are doing BYOD, you should know these or research them.

Amazon Prime has not been mentioned so check you are on the right plan after you set up your online account. But that is probably just generic text.
Thanks for your reply and help Comintel...
the number I was porting has a problem, so I have to call their port department to cancel the number and use my google voice...it went thru..somehow she put me in $100 plan..not the free plan..what a headache..chatted with customer care, they told me to call the 1-866-782-8777 number to straight things out. I hope they can help, otherwise I will just port it out asap.
Wondering if I port it out asap..how much will I get charge?

BTW...I just found out they do not have 24/7 customer care that you can call..I have to open their mysprint app to chat. Wow..that's why their customer service is way behind other network.

Thanks again.

Unfortunately when that happens, as it sometimes does, people can be stuck for weeks and months on the paid plan while various departments "investigate", "open tickets" etc. and nothing happens and various target dates for a fix pass by. By the way the 1-866-782-8777 people are incompetent and will not have any solution. They may tell you to call their "Order Management" department which will take days at least and usually still not solve it.

And when they eventually do get around to trying to fix it, sometimes the fix breaks later because they are building on sand at that point. In other words, they do not really know how to fix it reliably in some cases.

So I hate to say it, but personally I would port out and start over. The sooner the better. Like do it right now. One place you can use to port to is numberbarn. TMobile Prepaid might be better still if you are familiar with it because you could do it right now quickly probably. But they have even worse support than Sprint - 3 hour hold times at times.

If you leave it on Sprint too long on the paid plan it gets harder as time goes by to claim it was just a mistake.Existing customers are not eligible but if you are there less than a day or two this should not count against you.

Then start over with 1-866-782-8777 and explain to them what happened.

You will be charged nothing. Mention their 15-day money back guarantee if you are charged anything..If you were charged an activation fee of $15 they will refund it.

You would think that Sprint would try their best to give people at least a half-way decent experience with their LTE offerings and unlimited data, but no matter where I am in town now and running a speed test barely get over the 3mbps mark download speed and upload is hovering around 0.5mbps. Sprint's LTE service is more akin to the HSPA+ speed increases that were propagated around 5-10 years ago because these speeds can't possibly be considered LTE by any stretch of the imagination. Even though I'm only paying $3.50 per month I think it's about $3.49 too much for their service. I switched to this deal by ditching my free $25 Cricket Unlimited 2 plan for tethering, and honestly even Cricket's crappy throttled service delivers more consistent speeds than Sprint does anywhere in the Memphis area. Only once have a i seen anything faster than 3mbps and that was when I was standing within 300 feet of a local Sprint tower which is highly impractical. I'm about ready to sell my LG G5 Sprint phone and switch back to Cricket's Unlimited 2 offering so that my speeds are more reliable and have better cell service.

After 10-15 years you would have thought Sprint increased their bandwidth over mobile dtaa, but they're still stuck in the days where Cricket was still their only independent brand that piggybacked off of local towers only to deliver sub-par data speeds.I'd be shamed if I had to pay full price for this abomination of cell phone service. I'm waiting to see if there are any Magic Boxes coming any time soon and if I don't have one in hand by the end of December I'm cancelling this service and getting rid of Sprint entirely. If I have to I'll revert back to my pathetic 3mbps Cricket SIM and suffer the wrath of those speeds...at least then I'll know that 3mbps will alwas be obtainable and it will be enough for a backup fallover for my home network setup. Sprint still sucks a big fat one and I wouldn't be caught dead paying any more than 3-4 bucks a month for this bullcrap.

Yeah I was trying to come up with some options to avoid that $20 fee.
Maybe Google will refund it if you mention there was an error porting it out and you are just porting it back in to correct and redo the port out? I would give it a try.
But there are advantages in getting it over with.

Good luck with doing it over......

I notice something really odd this morning and was hoping someone might chime in that has more knowledge about Sprint. Since June when I signed up I've always had lousy reception in my large development and nearly no reception in my home. In the early mornings (around 6:30) I leave to go to work and I'm always stuck on 3g until I hit the entrance of my development where I hit solid LTE coverage. On my way home from work, same thing happens I drop down to 3g upon entering my development.

Anyways this morning I notice when I was outside my home I was on LTE with it fluctuating between 1,2,3 and 4 full bars. I've never had that happen before. Only on the weekends will I sometimes get 1 bar of LTE outside my home before going down to 3g. I'm on an iPhone SE with ios 12.1. Do you think my iPhone is utilizing it's T-Mobile LTE bands now on roaming?

I didn't check what my reception is inside my home yet as I'm always on wifi calling. I know the best reception I've receive inside my home at best is 3g, usually I'm on 1x extended.
