Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Does anyone know if I can enable roaming only on my Moto E5 Play or G6 Play?

I only get data when free LTE Discovery app says that the phone is roaming. When it says I am not roaming, I don't get data and this problem started last month. I've already tried factory reset on the piece of junk Lenovo Motos. I don't have this problem with my LG Tribute Dynasty.

Port in from Freedompop can now be instantly completed. Port in from Freedompop used to take a week or longer. I tried again recently and after I spoke directly with the porting department the port completed instantly while on the phone with them. I was shocked and the port CSR said they could complete the port instantly for Google Voice and Freedompop. Must be new since they couldn't do that before.

This may not be what you mean but roaming is free and unlimited and does not count against your roaming quota now as long as it is on TMobile (some phones may show this as roaming and some not). So you can just leave roaming on and look at your usage periodically to be sure it is not counting if you want.

Or are you saying it will not roam at all on the Moto phones, even if roaming is turned on? Of course that is going to depend on what bands the phones have.

When I say I can't get data, I mean I can't get to websites or use apps that require data like Play Store or My Sprint App or Lyft.

When free LTE Discovery app says I am using band 41 and not roaming, I can't get any websites to load or use apps needing data. When it says I am using band 2 or band 4 and am roaming, I can load websites and use apps needing data.

These are not T Mobile phones. The Moto E5 Play or G6 Play are Walmart Boost phones were able to get on this free Sprint plan through the loophole. I have roaming turned on and given my results, I would like to roam only since data works only when LTE Discovery says I am roaming (eg bands 2 or 4).

Oh I see.
(Yes I meant Moto not TMo).

Normally you cannot force roaming or disable individual bands on most phones (you can disable bands on Samsung phones)..

You say the LG does not have the problem. Have you checked which of the following is the case:

(1) The LG does not have the problem because it switches away from band 41 as necessary?
or
(2) The LG does not have the problem because it works fine on band 41 at all times?

When you have the problem on band 41 in the Motos, do they have good bars / signal level?

Do the Motos EVER roam on bands 2 or 4? Maybe they can't?

Anyone who said that proved to be misinformed by the Sprint rep. Not one single person has confirmed after a closer look that they really did get the hotspot since July when it was dropped from the offer.

Of course if anyone did somehow get the hotspot since then, then by all means please post now to let us and the poster here know..

Hi, any tips on how to make the iphone purchase from walmart black friday deal ($300/$400 GC ) work on sprint free 1yr BYOD plan? Since the ad mentions activation needed on qualified plan( activation charge applies too) I assume I will have to activate a new line on a new # and cancel it later. Any idea on how soon can the new line be cancelled ?? Will there be a hard pull again if i am on BYOD already?

Question about using T-Mobile prepaid to get another free year. I bought a T-Mobile digital SIM off ebay. I called in to T-Mobile prepaid and waited over an hour and a half. I finally got a rep and gave my Sprint info. She took it and charged me $3 for the Pay as You Go plan. This was last night about 7:30pm. It is now 8:30am and the phone has not been removed from Sprint and is still working to make calls. How long does this normally take?

I also want to bring 3 other lines off Sprint and then back to get the extra year. I see they have a way to do it on the T-Mobile website. Is there a reason people don't do it that way, so that they don't have to wait hours to talk to someone?

Is there a list of phone models that works with this 1 year free promo that's not listed in the original post? I have read here that other phones *may* work, and I'm looking for a budget phone.

Thanks!

Don't blame ya, with the wiki's gumbo of different font colors and sizes, it's quite intimidating. But it's a great treasure trove of info and invaluable to us.
