Is there any documentation anywhere to support that so I can take it up with Sprint? My first line didn't have the activation but when I added a second line it shows $30 billable activation charge.
From the Sprint web site:
"Your $30 activation fee is waived as part of this promotion. The fee will appear on your first bill and a credit will appear within 2 bills."

So nothing is wrong, just wait two billing cycles. They are probably not going to give it to you any earlier by calling.

So if you have no contract can you just buy the unlocked 9+ from sprint and use this deal? Or it needs to be verizon bf deal and port in After 45 days of plan through them?

We just canceled wifes phones. 5 lines 13 years. I signed up for 4 s9+'s and an iphone under my name i stead. We havnt sent the s8+'s back yet we still have 10 days. Bill is like $290(after est fees) with 6th line free phone

Kind of regretting going in. Would it of been possible to buy our leases outright from under her name & port them under my name as new customer. They offered $245 to pay off each s8+. Also if they do they offer insurance on them? Store wouldn't give protection after new ones left store
All U.S. S8 and S9's are eligible, including plus models, including carrier branded models of any U.S. carrier.
You can add the insurance plan when moving phones into Sprint in this plan.

Sorry you had such a bad experience, but many of us are getting great service with Sprint. Also, although I can't surf the internet on a call, I can send and receive texts during calls and GPS still works fine. I do it all the time.

My 1 year plan will be expired. Is there any free way to port out the number to close the account? I donot need to keep the phone number. Since it does not come with hotspot, i will not apply it again.
Looks like you could port to Tello for free this week, using same phone and SIM. One month free 2GB data and unlimited minutes/texts. You can also use a referral to get $10 to use for a future month or pay-as-you-go. I know you are not planning to port back to Sprint, but if anyone else wants to use this for 45 days, you can't go directly back to Sprint from Tello.

If I gave them the IMEI of an eligible phone, I would like to know if I have to use the phone with the line or I could use any devices.

no you can't unless you swap devices including the imei. You can't just swap the sim if that's what you are thinking.

I have an unlocked Moto G4 Play which is compatible with Sprint. However it does not recognize SIM card anymore (known issue). I learned "SIM cards are there for Sprint's and Verizon's 4G LTE networks, because the LTE standard also uses SIM cards". If I do not care about 4G LTE, is there a way Sprint can provision my photo so i can use it without physical SIM card? thanks.

I have had the Sprint service since July 2017. REnewed in August this year (when hotspot was still available)..

Was in Charlotte, NC over the weekend and the data speeds were horrible. Was getting 200 kbps download and 0 - 5 kbps upload in the Bank of America building in downtown Charlotte. The only time I regretted having Sprint.

With the right phone, it should be ok now anywhere Sprint OR TMobile is ok provided you have the right updates with roaming enabled.

But only some models have got these updates, mainly newer phones and especially Sprint-branded models.

In the case if iPhones, VoLTE will be available on iPhone 8 and up only (already out in beta), and it may be that the best roaming will have the same requirement.

Once Apple releases IOS 12.1.1 which could be any time now, there will be a deluge of posts I am sure, although VoLTE itself will only be rolled out gradually by area.
What people are seeing now id that some phones (including my S8+) will switch to TMO band 4 as soon as the phone would otherwise drop to Sprint 3G, whereas others will be satisfied with a weak Sprint 3G signal. It is probably the phones that are eligible for VoLTE that are getting the better treatment.

I had a Google pixel 2 xl and a Sprint Moto z2 force. Both had bad speeds this past weekend.
