Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Your service is shitty since May and you just decide to move at this time? Whatta shitty move.
Uh, yeah. I travel for work now, and am not on wifi as much. So yes, am switching carriers.

It doesn't make the service any less terrible. Smilie Bad logic big guy.

If you have an unlocked iPhone it will not lock it. Sprint uses different sims for different phones so most likely you will need to get a free sim at the Apple store or Best Buy.

No it won't - that only applied to certain Sprint phones not previously activated.

As to swapping sims, that will not by itself move your service. You also need to chat to swap the IMEI. And as noted by G K, there are often different sims needed for different phones anyway.

Damn that's crazy but I think I did that too, ran the checker on Ting. And it got approved.
Yes you and some others here would try these things automatically anyway.

Ting has some code of its own to make extra efforts to qualify phones by using special commands to the database that could be doing the trivk.

Or the mere fact of a query from elsewhere could be forcing a refresh of the database cache.

It won't lock your iphone into sprint. You would be able to swap in your straight talk sim, whenever you feel like.

My logic is, if I have shitty service, I would not wait 6 months to switch out. But to each his own.

For some who can go through the hoops, Google Fi has a deal just for today, buy a phone and receive a travel gift card equal to the phone price. Check TOS.

It is not always the case that you have to wait 60 days if the only problem was the ID questions, although some reps and the latter may say that.

Call the Credit Dept direct at 800-639-6116 when this happens and often they will sort it out right away.

This has worked for some people, and not for others. I suppose it depends on the circumstances and maybe other factors. I suppose odds may decrease if it happened before but I am not sure of that.

Maybe you could just go the Corp store to start with before doing anything. It might be worth trying.
The problem was definitely ID verification questions. I didn't know the answers to any of them. SMH lol. I didn't even get a hard pull (which I'd like to think it supports my theory that the problem was the questions). The cred rep even said "we can't verify your ID".

Going to the Corp store before doing anything. I was thinking about doing that too.

When people are asked to go in person for ID verification, the rep over the phone doesn't enter any info in the system about the potential customer, do they?
So it would be like a random person walking in and saying "I need to be ID verified so I can sign up for service over the phone". Or is there some kind of reference # given to the customer to show in store?

Also, since the questions were the problem and it is said that ID questions will also be asked in store, I'm going to assume that I'll fail those too. I have about 5 or so forms of ID, but I'm not sure what Sprint will go with.

I'm assuming there's no obligation to stay with the service for the duration of the promotion? In other words, if the service sucks, I can leave anytime I want without penalties?

One person posted that they will send a cash refund after you close your account in such a case. They did that for that person. They should be willing to confirm that to you. If you do it in chat you can have a written transcript for later proof.
