Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

According to the wiki, it should be your 10 digit phone number.

Typical carrier BS...switch to our network, enjoy one year of so-so benefits, after one year be ready to get raped ...$100 for 2 lines.
so-so my a$s

Consider the math of a family my size-
over the last 19 months we've saved $12k.

Consider remarkable data speeds (in my house)-
B2 112m/sec
B25 13m/sec
B41 89m/sec

It got to the point a year ago where I said goodbye to Xfinity internet (55m/s $70/mo) & exclusively enjoy Netflix & Kodi now from a spare broken screen phone's hotspot for <$4/mo.
Anyone know when the generous 50gig/mo tethering will end?

For all the Sprint naysayers in this thread,
it's all about location, location, location my friends...

"A representative" is pretty vague.

The only reps who know about the unique requirements of this offer are at the number ending in 8777.

Even there you sometimes get a spaced out one.

It will not work.

I initiated a cancellation with google fi online and selected the option to port to another service provider. It automatically showed the account and pin number. I even chatted with google fi support about switching the ownership flag but was told that I had to do the port with Sprint first.
I called Sprint to add another line to my free BYOD account and then was told that the phone is still showing that it is active with google fi.
Do I need to cancel my cancellation and instead select port to GV to get this work?
I do not think you have cancelled anything yet.

Nor should you.

They just gave you the port out info.

A port is always initiated from the side of the gaining carrier. (You always port in, never cancel or port out).

Yes it will have to be Google Voice or TMO etc.

Then while it is parked there you get Fi to flip the flag.

Then port into Sprint.

Everyone i talked to, whether it was the chat support, or the guy i talked to on the 8777 number, said my number is eligible to port. I ordered a sim card, and it will arrive tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes

Not only that the phone will probably be rejected as well until the mvno flag gets flipped. It may say "you owe sprint..." until then.

I am not saying these things to deter you from trying or to convince you ahead of time, just letting you be prepared.

You will be able to deal with them one by one.

Well as you might guess, many many people have started from Tello.

You want to try by starting with a direct port so try it and see.

Then we can go from there.

I already told you the error message you may get after you get past the first issue: ".....You owe Sprint.....". Supposedly some fixes may be pending.

how long will it take to port the number and get activated?

I received SIM card yesterday, and called last night to port the number from google voice, and received the order confirmation. But so far still have not received activation confirmation.

And can not use the phone number to sign up Sprint account.

As in upgrading your phone on this plan? I just did a mock checkout and they do indeed charge a $30 upgrade fee. Not sure if you can argue that off your bill. Maybe try through chat and ask if they will waive that charge.

Port will go faster if you read Wiki
