Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes you are if your SSN has not been used on Sprint in the past 45 days.
That is their definition of "new customer."
Most reps know that - a few do not. Tell them to check it with the credit department if they are in doubt,
You are confused somehow. I'm guessing you don't know the definition of enticed.

I was just explaining Sprint's definition of "new customer" there.

Many Sprint offers, including this one, require you be a "new customer"
.
It is just a purely formal issue, no opinion or anything else is involved.

You have to be off Sprint for 45 days before being eligible to come back as a new customer and get their best offers.

It is similar with other carriers, cable companies etc..

.
I said I would never be enticed to go back to sprint and you replied with this, which is by no means related to my posts whatsoever. This isn't an opinion, just some facts. I guess it would have been better for someone who wished to post sprints terms and conditions at random, to not choose a random post to reply to that was completely unrelated.

After I ported from GV to Sprint, I am not able to send/receive text messages from certain numbers. Anyone know about this?
It will resolve itself eventually. It may take more than 7 days.

Good luck!

Oh sorry that got linked to the wrong post. I just deleted it.

I was intending to reply to another post and did have a dialogue with another user as I described who had a problem with signing up for a second year because the agent did not know the meaning of "new user."..

I have no quarrel with your post at all.

Enticed is a perfectly good choice of word, I agree.

Last two days iPhone 8 Plus in Austin, no signal no matter where I am in the city. Was on iOS 12.1.1, carrier version Sprint 35.0. Did a phone reset this morning no dice, reset network settings no dice, reset carrier settings with ##UPDATE# no dice.

Attempting to downgrade now back to 12.1 No idea what is going on but this switch has not gone well for me so far.

so sprint runs our credit only to issue generic sim card, which can be bought anywhere for around 3$?
the credit check is to establish a postpaid account with Sprint, all postpaid carriers do some sort of credit check.

It's not to approve the purchase of a sim card.

A good example of why BBB ratings are virtually useless.

You don't activate a sim at any point to get this deal. You activate a phone using the phone's unique identifier, it's meid. You need a compatible sim in the phone but the sim isn't activated, it's tied to the phone not the plan or your number.

This is very different than the way T-Mobile,AT&T, and any gsm carrier works. In those cases you do activate a sim.

This difference seems to cause lots of confusion.

None of those will work.
Carriers generally do not want the user to be able to force bands.
You can only do it using device specific settings.
There have been posts in this forum on how to force bands using Samsung and Moto phones.
You will have to ask on Nexus forums if it can be done on their phones.
I do it very readily on S8 and it works fine. For example, disable band 26 to force band 4 in some circumstances.
Thanx so much!
I'll try on my S8

Exit normally

You must then reboot before it takes effect

Since you are so knowledgeable, I need to ask a question. I have the Sprint BYOD plan and can add a second phone if I bring my device- free.

I want a google voice number in my area code. There were no new google voice numbers in my state and I would like a specific area code, so I bought a prepaid tmobile number, pin and account on ebay . But to get it to work on Google voice (port it in) , I have to have it actually working on a phone... I have free phone lines available via Sprint BYOD, but need a Sprint authorized phone. I am getting a Google Fi Pixel 3 (with travel deal) and will use the esim for Google FI. I do not think I can use the Google FI Pixlel 3 physical sim for Sprint (to use for 1 day) to port the tmobile virtual number over to google voice? Since Google FI uses Sprint, you probably cannot use Sprint for the physical cards slot, without messing up the Google Fi service? Thoughts?

I wonder what the BBB report said. I'm sure some people have had issues activating this service but I activated 4 devices on 3 plans for friends and family and never spent 5 hours on the phone with anyone. Sprint is literally giving you a free service, there is this thread with detailed info and people still find ways to complain... Confused
