Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Question: I know local stores can't deal with 1 year free lines, but can we go in store and ask for new SIMs? I.e. SIMs for iPhones are different for each of 5c/s-7, 8-X, and XS/XR and newer. Have an 8, but SIMs I have are either too old or too new...
Officially sims are $2.99 at Sprint corporate-owned stores (they can make exceptions if they want).

Easier to go to an Apple store as most Apple stores give them free.

For someone who does not have a unlocked sprint compatible phone would buying the LG - Tribute Dynasty 16GB - Champagne (Sprint) for $130 from Best Buy the best option available to get this 1 year BYOD promotion ?

It was not your flaw to use UPC, only to rely on Walmart! Walmart has the wrong UPC for the Boost model. Both Best Buy and LG sites list correct UPCs. Best Buy has UPC listed under Specifications. LG site has UPC listed as last item under Connectivity. Sprint UPC=652810819039. Boost UPC=652810819046. Woudn't hurt to also check IMEI as you say, of course.

In fact you are right because looking at the Cell2get site, it does show the model number is LGSP200SLVKT which is the Sprint postpaid model.

So I would indeed buy that one now although nobody has yet done so yet from that particular store. Should be ok.

DelightfulDeer has pointed out that Cell2get has the same phone for $68 with free shipping. What's more, there are coupons out there for Cell2Get. Since it is a Sprint phone, it would include the sim.

It does list model number LGSP200SLVKT which is the same as the BestBuy and Sprint listing for the postpaid model so it should be the correct one! Certainly you could ask them to confirm that it will activate on Sprint postpaid. It looks ok to me but I cannot personally guarantee anything.

https://www.cell2get.com/lg-tribu...-7456.html

However nobody has ordered one from that particular store yet to confirm.

If anyone does, maybe activate it without opening the box just in case.

Other than that, there are other excellent choices if you check back to earlier posts . .

It certainly depends on what you want in a phone. Some people like me want to have all Sprint features - this phone has that. Other people prefer a Moto, for example, even without Sprint features (in some cases) such as Wifi Calling, Visual Voicemail, LTE Calling, HPUE etc.

I checked every eligible prepaid phone at best buy and they were all invalid. Where can I get a phone that will work?

Sprint Prepaid phones (including Boost and Virgin) are not eligible for this offer.

Here is one that is:

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-t...Id=6162284

or half that price at
https://www.cell2get.com/lg-tribu...gK78vD_BwE
(look for coupons for the latter)

or $96 at Walmart.

Note you cannot use the Boost or Virgin models of the same phone sold at Best Buy or Walmart..

You have to get it off Fi and then get Fi to flip the MVNO flag off (two separate steps) and then it is eligible. We have gone through this dozens of times. (Fi counts as a Sprint MVNO).

If you are looking to spend that kind of money, a better phone option is the Moto X4 - deal below

So here are my next set of issues after receiving my SIM from my phone order (with creation of account):

They tried porting in my number but it failed the first time. So I was transferred to the porting department who had to set up the port again. However, the agent could not reattach the original free plan to the account but said she would send the number to the escalation team to make sure I get the original free plan. This interaction happened last night on 12/17. She said my line will be active today 12/18 at 6PM CST.

Issue 1: If the line/port is still not active, what should be done to solve this issue as seamlessly as possible?

Issue 2: If the port was successful with my line active BUT the free plan is not attached, should I contact Marci or Elyse to get the free plan as easy as possible? Will the escalations team the previous phone agent described actually work as expected without further intervention from me?

I do not doubt it is a better phone from the point of view of common specs.

However, does it support Sprint Wifi Calling, LTE Calling, simultaneous voice and data, HPUE for weak signals, etc.?

I think different people will make different choices.

However I agree the LG phone is seriously overpriced at the Best Buy price.
