As per the wiki information, after 45 days, you'll be treated as a new customer. My sprint 1 year plan ended last month, and I moved to T-mobile based service. I plan to come back. I checked on the website, and it says eligible. So, wanted to know from other people that even if it says eligible, we still have to wait for 45 days or so to come back and enroll in this plan?

Do you mean it says your IMEI and phone number are eligible? That does not take into account your SSN which is how they identify recent customers.

But if you want to try, go ahead and call and try. If your desirability score is high enough they may let you on early.

Hi, I have created a new Sprint account with a new SSN and ported a google number. Now I want to move the existing 2 lines to this new account to take advantage of full new year. I am about to move one of the lines to T Mobile. Once that is done, can I add a the line to my new account over chat or calling them is the only option?

Calling is the only option.
Chat is unfamiliar with this offer and often gives out wildly incorrect information, often saying it is over.

it is u that is NOT eligible.
not for 45 days.
but as wiki says..call..give it a try..speak with rep..they may allow u back before 45 days.
not 100% guarantee...but worth a shot as u got nothing to loose

Yes it does!

Best read Wiki and search the thread for cautionary tales, though, of people who have had problems porting FP numbers. Many have succeeded too..

It has been going for a year and a half, going on two years soon, but if you want to check up to the minute you can load the page:

https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/of...:1yearfree [sprint.com]

which will be updated when it ends (but do not actually sign up online there, see our wiki for how to do it by phone).

(We know it will be updated when the deal ends because Sprint did that with other similar deals).

P.S. Go to a Sprint corporate owned store only to be sure of getting sim for $2.99
Got the sim activation kit from a non-corporate store. It was $5 but saved me a 15 mile drive.

Just bought the number from numberbarn. Got the last name for $5.00!
Will call Sprint when the numberbarn number is active.

well it worked out for me in the end, ported out using those digital sims from tmobile, then just went directly to sprint site and signed up again using wife's info (don't really "need" to call), opted in for free shipping for the sim card but since I had them already I just went ahead and activated each phone

another year of unlimited service in a row Smilie
So you can use your old Sprint sim and signup then activate online? This is awesome, sounds much easier and faster. The wiki recommends Call for sign up and MUST call to activate
Quote :
If you have procured the correct sim for your phone, then you MUST call 866 782 8777. You can not activate online!
Can you confirm that this can all be done online?

Thanks!

Yeah if you already have the SIM cards just choose free shipping and then go ahead and activate each line.

Paying needlessly for the new sims that you do not use, however.

Plus some people have had activation problems where they are unable to activate after signing up online. That would be the bigger negative if it occurs.

If some people want to do it that way, though, and do not mind the extra cost relative to calling in to sign up (assuming they already have sims), certainly they can, and it is good to have that confirmed.

As long as you do not mind the extra cost of doing it online for the new sims they ship that you throw away, and the additional up-front $30 per line activation fee (which should be credited in a couple of billing cycles to be used up over time) and the possible added risk of the online order getting messed up when account setup is done separately from activation, sure,
