Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Was your FP number an original FP number or was that ported in to FP sometime back? I have the same problem, been trying to get the port working, but have not been successful as I have been asked to use FreedomPOP_IQNT as the name and their LA address as the billing address. Have tried various combinations on name and address to no avail. I haven't tried Numberbarn yet, but will try that out
Well you see it is going to vary all over the place because FP uses different small local carriers in different areas, and that is who the number has to come from (coordinated by FP). The problems are not really at FP, they are at a *few* of the many local carriers that FP uses.

As you say, it actually depends on who the original issuing carrier was, not the current carrier. I know who they use here and there is no problem here but that is completely different from who you use where you are.

It is not a true FP problem, it is a problem with a small minority of local carriers used by FP in a few areas.

You will just have to work through it.

A very few numbers cannot be ported at all.

What can I do when my credit check is good but failed in valid user check?
When credit check is done, credit department will say it's good to go and call is transferred back to customer care representative
Then he asks 3 security check questions, where I fail to answer them all correctly.
So customer care representative asked try back after 90 days.

what u do is start by reading wiki.

wiki is on the 1st page (around post #3).
it summarizes most salient details of any deal.
it is quite useful on deals like this , so the same question doesn't get asked over and over and over and over again..1000's of times

like your question

it is very common occurrence.

read wiki

if still unclear, come back here..ask again

good luck

and welcome to SD

Call the credit department directly at 800-639-6116 & they will give you a new set of identity questions.
In the wiki.
Worked for me.

I had ported out my line in july

when I click the promo link, and then get started, I get msg saying - User not eligible

I have no lines and no dues in my account
Only one line on wife's ssn

I think I tried to port in some number in june and it failed and its stuck now

chat support is useless, they said you should be fine but apparently not

I guess I need to call byod team and spend an hour on phone

ughhh

Make sure you are logged out of all Sprint accounts - best use a different browser.
Make sure you are giving a non-Sprint number.
Make sure the phone is not on a Sprint carrier.

Other than that, yeah, call the number ending in 8777.

I wish you could search slickdeal threads...

I have 3 lines on the BYOD free plan. One of the phones is an Iphone 6s plus. I'm thinking about taking advantage of the Apple trade in program that expires at end of this month and use it as a trade in for a new Iphone XR and buying it outright.

My question is, can I swap out the 6S with the XR without it altering my plan? Thank you.

u certainly can search slickdeal threads...

some advice.
if u have a spare phone, u should swap on the 6s + line firts.

if u do not, u can go buy the Iphone XR it outright.
if u gonna use on S, i would ge the S version.
Do not give A any information of ur number.
once u bought it, go home and tell rep u want to swap device with a "older" phone u own and is paid for.

finally, u can go back to Apple store later and trade in the ip6s+ now and make it towards the purchase of the xr retroactively.

I read the wiki but still confused, sorry!

My question is about swapping a device after setting up a free byod account. If I started service with an iPhone 6S, but wanted to swap to my tmobile iphone 7S (which is coming up as ineligible in the sign up check screen), does it mean that I'll never be able to use the 7S on this plan? Thanks in advance!

Apple never made an iPhone 7S.
If iphone 7(model A1778) no CDMA, no Sprint
If A1660 you can use on sprint.
If iphone 7 plus(model A1784) no CDMA, no Sprint.
If A1661 you can use on sprint.
Setting/general/about tap model.
