Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Why do we need kickstart plan when this plan is free
For me, Because I like to control my own account and only have one SSN. Kickstart has no preplanned expiration date, so the nonhassle of account swaps, credit hits, etc is worth it to me. The local 'Sprint' network uses C Spire and there is a tower less than 2 miles from me. C Spire 's $25 prepaid unlimited plan is throttled at 140kbs speeds, there LTE plans like $40 for 6gb.

Also, current Free BYOD customers can add another line at a reasonable price to their account this way if not at 5 line limit.

So nice to have a $0 phone bill! Savings of $130 a month 😬
$12 is as close to zero I've seen with Sprint.

My bill is $0 this month and next. I have a credit balance. Then it's $3.48 (taxes).

I was wondering if anyone here has experience in swapping phones for two Sprint lines. Is it as simple as switching the phone for one line first, and then switching the second line to the other phone? Or do I need a third phone as a trampoline to get that done? Thanks.
Just chat tech support and they will do it, as noted by macrokelvin.

I have done it.

You can NOT do it yourself without extra steps

If Sprint decides they won't extend the Jan 30, 2020 end date, will we have any time at all to jump on this before they stop accepting new accounts?

My plan currently ends on April 30, '19 and and am looking at opening a 2nd account using my wife's SSN but waiting to see if Sprint is going to extend the ending date again.
The end date has just now been extended to 3/31, so NOW is a good time to do it. I am porting out today to port back in later!

Any chances this deal will continue beyond 1/31/2019? My current BYODoffer ends in April and thinking if I should renew now or wait.
Quote from comintel :
See the recent discussion. You may find it pretty interesting.
It may pay to wait a LITTLE longer for a potential 2-3 month gain as discussed there.
You only needed to wait a day.

You may lose promotions by doing this depending on the promotions on each line. See this as one example https://community.sprint.com/t5/P...-p/1020167

For the benefit of anyone who did not notice, hodaddy called TO THE DAY (namely last night) the date on which the extension of the FREE plan out would take place.

Yes but not this promotion PROVIDED you do it right. Some other one, maybe, especially where it was on one single phone or line.

I have done it without losing the plan.

That said, there could be a slight risk in the case where the support person messes it up but I would not worry about it as it could always be fixed up, especially now that the offer has just been extended.

Hi,
When are they supposed to extend the expiration date again if they even extend it( in what interval?) My plan expires 04/30, still 3.5 month left, I am thinking to wait a month or two before using wife's ssn for another year in order to fully utilize the free plan. Also thinking to use a new ssn to open a line to hold the place and when my current plan is up, port out and then back into the new plan.

Kickstart will be back 1/11 — 1/24th , btw. It may be an easier transition to some from exp free plans.
Congratulations on calling the kickstart extension ahead of time!

Did you learn that from Sales? Or are you an insider? (Just curious, you do not have to say of course)..

Well they will have to decide again sometime in March.

It will be the same decision again, kill it or extend it again.

There is no benefit right now to you to waiting just a month. You will get 3/31 now or then. You would have to wait till mid March or later to try for a later expiry date and at that point the risk MAY be higher as we get closer to a potential merger approval date.

I agree it may well be extended again in March but I myself am not taking the risk.

Sure you can use a new ssn to open a line to hold the place, but you might as well move to it as well because you freeze its expiry date once it is opened. At least as far as I see it. There could be some obscure angles....

Lucky with that hint from luckygecko.

I have hotspot til July 31 but I'm with you on this. Free til March 2020 is irresistible.
