Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Does anyone know a way to dodge the $13 sim card fee? Can I get a sim from somewhere else for less cost?

There's no way to use this as a hotspot now?

The only other way, besides PDANet+, to have a "hotspot" is to get an easily rootable AND Sprint BYOD compatible Android phone like the Nexus 5 and use this app, it costs about $2:

https://play.google.com/store/app...r&hl=en_US

It works great!
Mind you, this is not a true hotspot as defined by Sprint, it's just using your unlimited Sprint data as you'd use it on your device. You just connect other devices to your Sprint device that now acts as a WiFi router, and as far as Sprint is concerned you're using your data on your Sprint device.

Of course it involves certain technical expertise to accomplish that but if you do your research and you are inclined to do this it can easily be done depending on the device to root. Some devices are more complex than others but the Nexus 5 devices, and maybe all Nexus devices, are pretty easy.
PDANet+ also requires certain technical knowledge to set up but may be easier than rooting a phone for most.
Search this thread for PDANet+ and/or PDANet. Details have been posted here on this by some very knowledgeable and helpful people.

For Samsung devices, just add DUN to the APN to enable native hotspot, no root nor app required.

Just completed a device swap on my account successfully - new iPhone Xs for an old iPhone 7 Plus. Had to get another SIM, Apple store provided for free fortunately. Online swap failed to accept the new SIM's ICCID number for some reason. Used online chat and although the first half of the process is a bot which makes it frustrating to work with, later you get a real person to complete the swap. All in all not too painful and definitely mostly self service.

Found a good number on numberbarn so I purchased it last night for porting.

Under the port out information, my new number says it belongs to Twilio, a Twilio address, and there is N/A for the pin number.

Question - when I port into the sprint, do I provide the Twilio name as the carrier, provide the Twilio San Francisco address, and tell sprint there is no account number for this account?

please hang up and pay the $50 per month to your choice carrier
