Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Read wiki

Tells u exactly how to cancel
Your snarky comments do not add anything to the discussion. Apparently you didn't read it yourself! Wiki doesn't tell you that canceling service is painful, it just explains how to port out, which I didn't need, as it was a throw away number for me and I didn't need to keep it. So if you don't have anything to add just keep it shut.

I understand what you said. I was just warning ppl that canceling service without porting could be a huge pain in the a.. I didn't want to port as it was a throw away number for me.
Got it! Did not think about that scenario! So pain to sign up and pain to cancel buyer beware. At least it's free. Reports are coverage is much better now if your phone roams on Tmobile since their agreement. Big plus there.

I signed up for the year which ends at the end of the month for my parents and me. I'm going to follow the wiki and hopefully be able to port out and port back in for another year. I am planning on putting it under my moms name this time. I've forgotten exactly what information they ask for sign up. Social, Name, address is a given. Anything else? I'm going to be "pretending" to be my mom to make it easier so I want to have all the neccessary info. Also, we live a few hours apart. If I remember correctly we just have to restart our phones at certain times and put new sims in, right? I figure I can just facetime them and have them do that, but is there anything else I'm not thinking of?
Thanks.

duh...explains how to port out
isnt that what u want

but instead u go into some nonsense about how the wiki doesnt say it is painful.
u for real?
u want wiki to predict what it will be like for u to port out?

wake up.

read wiki

but i think u right. i didnt read wiki myself

Sometimes they give an identity quiz with random biographical credit history questions that might be impossible to pass except if she is there with you.

I do not know if they will do a three-way call but you could ask.

I ported my throw away number to H20. Cost me 16 cents for a SIM on ebay and only took about 5 minutes.

couple of questions -

1. when my wife's unlocked T-Mobile Samsung S9+ was activated, sprint pushed a bunch of crappy apps (WTF ANDROID?!). Even things like the native dialer changed, reboot animation etc. Can this be prevented?
2. Anyone successfully use this on a Mobile Hotspot device? I know they ask for IMEI, will they refuse activation on a device like that? I was first planning on just activating on another device and moving the SIM over, but according to the wiki (and my testing) it won't just move over. you have to re-register the IMEI of the new device (why sprint, why).

(1) If they did not push their full software load (actually it is Samsung that does it on ANY switch of carrier), you would not have VoLTE (soon), Wifi Calling, Visual VoiceMail, carrier aggregation, HPUE range enhancement features. You would only have a crippled subset of features that were common to TMobile.

To give these selectively only would require a huge engineering effort. So they give you every last thing, including bloatware. This ends up being a huge advantage

If you wanted a phone that had only a common subset of basic features of different carriers, you should have got the U1 model rather than the U model in the first place. And then you would be crying about lack lack of Visual VoiceMail, Wifi Calling, VoLTE etc.

(2) Because hotspot devices are not eligible on many plans. And features vary by phone. There is no way to do what you want (cheat).

well done. u r amazing

Note 8: porting out of sprint
if u hate the service best to cancel via porting out of sprint.
that will cancel the account.
if u go this route, u must port out every number to have account completely cancelled.
if u have more than 1 line, then porting out 1 line will not effect the others.
if u dont care about number, port out to h20 and let number die.
h20 sim are pretty inexpensive on amazon.
order now as it is good to have h20 sim on hand for future use.

Just to add to what others have said, it has to be the exact correct Sprint sim for that model phone, not just any Sprint sim.

My one year free with sprint will end on 01/31/2019. If I port out to T-Mobile online , can I port back to sprint for another one year free package in the same day?

Will I have to wait 45 days to port back to sprint for one year free with the same SSN ?

Will same SSN will be accepted without waiting 45 days of ?

Right and I didn't have H2O sim card and didn't want to buy one on Ebay and wait for a week for it to arrive and din't want to waste $10 on Amazon so how does your advice help?
