Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

There is no such issue with FP numbers despite whatever misinformation you may have found elsewhere.

Sprint will accept anything except Sprint network numbers (which FP does NOT use even on its Sprint side). Even NumberBarn numbers are fine.

However, in a FEW isolated cases FP ports can be slow in those cases where FP is using certain small local providers to provide their numbers.

So you can port a NUMBER off FP, but not directly a Sprint PHONE, because the phone itself IS already active on the Sprint network in that case. You would have to get it off first and if bough from FP it would need to have been active for 6 months..

As the Wiki and Desi point out, they will not announce any cutoff much ahead of time, but could do so at any time.

However they extended the end of Savings date from end January 2020 to end March 2020, most likely in my opinion to give themselves room to continue signups into March 2019, granted that they are not obliged to do so.

When trying to get a 2nd year free, and using a different ssn, would it matter if that ssn has another account plan to At&T? Would the ssn work if they are under 18 with no plan?

I have a Boost Mobile G6 Play that was activated on Sprint on my BYOD account for a family member. After a few months I asked Sprint to unlock and they claimed they did. Later the family member wanted to use an iPhone, so we switched devices.

I want to sell the G6 Play as this is a very inexpensive way to get onto the Sprint plan. However, when I go to see if this phone is eligible, Sprint says it is not. Further, Sprint thinks the phone is a Moto X2.

Is there any way to make this phone Sprint eligible?

Thanks.

see post #34575:
Good news for all those who have activated the "loophole" Boost G6 Play phone that was available several months ago but is no longer.

1. The G6 is listed as a "Motorola z² Play - Open Market" in the accounts, NOT as a G6 Play, so it'll remain as a Sprint eligible device. When the Sprint reps are given the IMEI they identify it as a Motorola z² Play, as it is listed in the Sprint database.

2. The phone remains unlocked after it is taken out of Sprint to another provider and then brought back into another Sprint account. It does NOT get re-locked. The phone was originally unlocked for domestic and int'l use by Sprint 45 days after activating it in an account.

Some Sprint reps will tell you that they'll waive the $30 activation fee BUT that you're required to enroll in the Sprint Complete Care Service while others do not lie to do that.
It can be immediately deleted from your Sprint online account under Change Services. There is a lag before it appears in your Sprint online account as deleted but wait a few hours or a day and check again to see if it is deleted. It should be updated after a few hours.
You'll also get an email like this to confirm the deletion:

"Hi Abcdefg Hijklmnop,

Thanks for managing your Sprint account online. On 01/XX/2019 at 06:66:66 you asked us to change these services for 5551234567 on account number 123456789:

Removed: Device protection: Sprint Complete - $15.00/mo**

Be patient but if it's not deleted after several hours or a day at most chat with a Sprint rep while you're logged in to your Sprint account. Or you can call CS at 1-800-SPRINT1.
The chat icon may not appear with some browsers, it did not appear with Chrome but it did with MS Edge.

The T-Mobile method of porting out of Sprint to T-Mo and back to Sprint works well. It costs $2.50+$3.00+about $1.50Taxes=+/- $7.00.
Another option is AT&T but that costs about twice that, but it comes with a phone # IF you need it to port a new device and a new tel.# to Sprint to enroll in the BYOD 1 Year Free plan. If you read thru the Wiki and search this thread there are also other options to do what you want to do.

Read the Wiki:
Note 12: if u fail credit check or are told u need to wait 60 days or anything credit related. Consider calling the Credit Dept direct at 800-639-6116 and explain . They are often able to help.

Call the # above, politely but firmly ask to speak to a supervisor for a manual credit check.
And you better know ALL the answers to the questions you're asked, you'll not get another chance, except after 60 days.

Also, an INTELLIGENT TERMS search of this thread will most likely provide an answer to a question.
For instance, if you search for "credit dept" you'll see posts with the above phone # and links to the Wiki.
It is guaranteed that any question that may be asked here has been asked and answered multiple times and an intelligent search will find the answer. Not to mention the Wiki......
Also, it's a lot FASTER than waiting for someone here to answer!
Thank you man!

Thank you 🙏! I transferred from Verizon. I am at Zip 69101 and comes under Sprint extended LTE coverage. Signal is not as good as Verizon, 3 bars average, but YouTube video plays perfectly. Recommend.

Use on AT&T does not matter so that person's SSN will be fine.
Under 18 would probably not be accepted.

It was only a loophole that it got on, right. Boost phones are not supposed to be eligible.
So there are no clear rules.

But what do you mean by "Sprint says that it is not (eligible)."
Do you mean the checker says that or that a rep says that?.

If you are just quoting the checker, that means little, because the rep may still be able to approve it. Many (though not all) people had to have the help of a rep to get them on in the first place.

There is no point guessing - you will have to call the number ending in 8777 and ask in more detail. They may say that it is fine. I would just say it a a Motorola phone, not admit that it is Boost or say what model it is.

Worst case, someone can buy it to use on Boost.

I didn't know FP runs on Sprint in some parts. I was thinking of opening a new FP line altogether and I would be a totally new customer to them and when I say new I mean seriously new, not new like Sprint 2nd year Smilie
On FP I intend to use my own device and may later switch to Sprint.

Sure you can if you want but the free Sprint offer is vastly superior to FP's offers.
FP on the Sprint side is base 1 Mbps unless you pay extra.
FP is VOIP only unless you pay extra.
FP data size is tiny compared to this offer.

Multiple times, I was told by the Sprint CSR that if I try to swap devices in less than 120 days, the line will change to a paid line. Does this have truth to it? The wiki says device swaps are fine any time, only upgrades aren't. Is there a risk of having a device swap coded as an upgrade?

Anyone with experience swapping devices? I need to make two swaps. Thanks!

Look we do them all the time routinely starting on Day 1.

These SALES reps know absolutely nothing as has been proved countless times. They can rarely even get the plan dates right. Or anything else. All they have is their schemes and distortions and misrepresentations to try to get you to buy things from them.

Yes I do them routinely and so do hundreds of others here.

Not one single person out of thousands of posts has lost the free plan for doing IMEI SWAPS with SUPPORT.

And do them with Chat or starting on your dashboard in my opinion. (Though there is one poster here who does do them through TeleSales ok as well).

I probably missed smth in the thread, but how did you get $2.50? I thought about Apple Store, but I took so many cards from them...
I've recently bought ICCID on eBay, activated by phone ($3 + taxes) and than had issue with porting as Tmobile account is not "1-phonenumber" anymore. Reaching Tmobile CSR is almost impossible (waiting time over 1 hour and then if call drops, one more hour...) so just in case I would buy real SIM card for port-out next time (to be able getting message and so managing Tmobile acc online).
