Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

It should, since it's a TMo MVNO. What's it say when you check the number eligibility? Also what phone are you checking as well?

- 3rd party sim unlocks do not work because Sprint checks every IMEI continually
Could you please clarify this a bit more?

I have an iPhone 6s currently locked with MetroPCS and was considering the IMEI unlock service offered by doctorsim. Are you saying that such a service would not work, i.e. that Sprint would still reject the locked iPhone 6s?

Also, If I activate on an unlocked phone and ask to add the locked iPhone 6s as another device for the same number, would that work, or they check each device from scratch?

Thanks,

Jim

Good - that's fine then. I just wasn't sure because you seemed to misunderstand some basic things like the 45 day rule. But that is not a problem. I saw possible some indications you had read it and some others that you probably had not.

You can and I tried to answer them, while at the same time supporting and recommending the great community effort we have going here.

- We have hundreds of discussions of Sprint Complete and know every in and out of it.. Just take it out of expediency and later that day cancel it via Chat or your dashboard..Unrelated to anything I was asking about, I was able to have it declined initially like I wanted done, and the reps were not an issue, hundreds of people who couldnt do exactly that is not much of an answer or help...
it was not in that case intended to help you particularly. This is not a private dialogue. It is to help others reading your post place it in context. As a matter of fact I said that those like you who refuse to sign up for it deserve to be commended. And you do. I just want others to be aware of the different aspects of this.

.....[ I meant depending on phone model you would be foolish not to get it. Like an XS MAX 512GB, Id personally even myself feel from financial sense making standpoint to add the insurance, initially, seeing as they offer $29 screen repair/reduced back glass repairs/etc and theyre not the easiest to work on. For the time being the 19$/month (which I believe is high) coupled with the piece of mind/apple care offers, and same day repair options, would most likely be worth it, some might say its silly not too when combined with plan savings already. Or if you lost a financed device you are out the phones full remaining balance which could be brutal, but much more manageable with sprint complete.. for a period of time of course. They even have a savings calculator to tell you when insurance is no longer financially viable, but none of the numbers really make sense except for the flagship models. Obviously this is typical cut and dry info, not hard to get. I wanted to give a chance for any outlying recent issues to bubble up and I dont see the harm in that, especially when contributing from the start. If there are any newer developments/tricks - if any- have come up that aren't so predictable, long term updates etc. Especially if anyone has a similar account?
Sure - no quarrel. Opinions differ. That's normal.

- This offer cannot be combined with the other offers you mentioned. -wishful hoping/seeing if any newcomers have discovered other potential loopholes/etc
- No tablets etc. Hundreds of people have tried every angle and not one succeeded. Exactly, not one, yet. So it can never be attempted or revisited again, you know this? Ok sorry. Maybe someone else had some new thoughts on it.
- No hotspot (on Android you can use nevertheless use PDANet+) Ah the good old PDAnet days. once again doesnt hurt to ask again

- 3rd part sim unlocks do not work because Sprint checks every IMEI continually I am familiar with these but it does not hurt to see if anyone has ventured onto something, especially if we are having "hundreds" of discussions and time spent on how to successfully NOT decline sprint complete, I mean, maybe there's a stone left unturned somewhere.
Sure you can ask again but many of these have been asked probably going on 100 times. I am not saying you cannot ask whatever you want, just suggesting you mention whether or not you have read the Wiki and searched the forum when doing so, so people can understand whether you are just asking these questions because you have not bothered to read the Wiki and forum, or whether you are asking if there is anything new on this issue.

True, I have successfully ported out and back in quickly on different SSN accounts/holders what have you, but I also don't want to have any issues with a number or external account that is important to me, or simply not worth the switch if there are too many unknowns, and it doesn't seem completely far-fetched for sprint to occasionally pick up on numbers rotating in and out too quickly and potentially reverting some "new" account into a mess. But I guess as they say if the number shows eligible its solid gold.
Right it is a perfectly valid question. I just gave you the answer based on reading thousands of posts here for your information, that's all. There has never been a single case posted here of their going behind the history of number or phone numbers rotating too quickly.

- Upgrade offers are worthless (with rare exceptions). ? Never mentioned upgrade offers, which don't exist outside of LG devices, just the interesting fact that they'll finance you a phone at no interest whilst not charging for service, the exact opposite of sprints business. As in this offer to upgrade and not pay service, which other unique plans like the kickstart plan do not allow at the same price plan point, if you recall.
Sprint calls any addition of a new phone that it sells you an "upgrade". That is the sense I was using the word in. Again, opinions differ. I am just giving you a widely held one fyi, that there is practically nothing of value in any Sprint offer.

If it were so easy and cut and dry there wouldn't be 35000 comments, and there would be no discussion left. And you'd have known about the option I presented. Nothing wrong with an open discussion. You not obliged to shoot it down.
Sorry if I gave the impression I was shooting it down.

Note: You may see 50GB Mobile Hotspot. This is a holiday bonus and may end at a date not yet announced.

Yes. All of the big 4 carriers require a full credit check.

Easiest T-mobile porting method: With t-mobile sim in hand (digital or physical) you can use this link. [t-mobile.com]The cost for the pay as you go plan is $3+tax.

Note, you will be required a purchase a Sprint SIM card to take advantage of this offer (SIM card is $2.99 ea. and $10 shipping & handling + tax).
Oh these are what you believe to be errors in the Wiki I guess.....

I think that is a real risk in general.
It can work if it is a Factory unlock but most are not.
Many unlocks are only for GSM. Ask very very specifically if it will allow you to activate in Sprint postpaid.

Filling in the form at https://www.doctorsim.com/us-en/u...6s/unlock/
it says $65 for 95% probability of success.

I guess for $65, that may be enough to pay off some insider at MetroPCS.

It may be more cost-effective for you to sell phone.

But I have not unlocked an iPhone in a while.

Maybe others know better and will post.

As to the second point, they do check every phone from scratch. It will not work in the case you mention. There are a few cases where swapping on helps but not for a totally ineligible phone (where it is totally ineligible).

Hello, I saw someone mentioned brand switching on unlocked Samsung phone somewhere in this thread. Can anyone please confirm brand switching works on any carrier prepaids and MVNOs like Sprint prepaid, Boost, Virgin, Tello, Metro, Cricket, Verizon prepaid, Simple Mobile, AT&T prepaid? Thank you and you guys are awesome! hug

Samsung had some exceptions listed for Metro and Cricket listed on its BYOD page.

I think it will work in many cases going from a prepaid carrier that has fully unlocked the Sansung phone, but is going to require testing to be sure.

Maybe others will have more specific comments.

Sure, you can port your number in. As for the phone, it depends on what you want to use. See wiki for the link to the latest eligible phones' list.

Just carrier unlocked phones.

However factory unlocked Samsung phones will of course work on all carriers too, but without full feature sets on the carriers.

For example, the factory unlocked S8 lacks built-in VoLTE (and Calling Plus before that) , Wifi Calling, and Visual VoiceMail on Sprint. (There are workarounds for some of these). But a Verizon, AT&T or TMobile S8 will now have all of these features once unlocked and moved to Sprint.

There are some advantages to the factory-unlocked phones too such as cleaner software load and earlier availability of portability. They tend to get the missing features over time too. Some purists prefer them.

Thanks for the advice.

It is surprising that not many people have done this or something similar. Maybe it doesn't work for this deal.

It says it's not eligible. The phone is a unlocked Moto E4 plus xt1775 bought from Walmart. It was bought unlocked.
