As Sprint and T-Mobile are merging, can someone please confirm if they have been able to successfully port from a T-Mobile pay as you go plan to this Sprint BYOD plan recently ?
I ported from T-Mobile a couple of weeks ago with no problems.

I'm planning to get on to the $3/month T-Mobile Pay as you go plan and then port over to Sprint. Can I register for the T-Mobile pay as you go plan with a digital T-Mobile sim that I had used earlier to port out from Sprint to T-Mobile ?

Someone would have mentioned in here if ports weren't going through so I will go out on a limb and say yes indeedy.
Aside from that we don't know if the merger will go through.
I hope that it does not go through. don't need no steenkeen T-Mobile
Edit: I will gladly let SoftBank subsidize all my lines til the Cows come home

That is not the Free plan. Unlimited Freedom v24 is a paid plan (normally).

Either you have recently rolled over to that plan or you were never on the Free plan in the first place. Unlimited Freedom v24 is an old plan and is not the one you would normally roll over to at the end of savings date on the free plan.

Did you have problems signing up originally? Maybe it is the result of somebody's "fix" if you complained that you were being charged too much? Maybe they "fixed" it by overriding the monthly fee rather than correcting the plan itself?

I guess I'm just a ghost in their system. It tracks current month's usage in the app, but last month it said I used nothing which isn't true. And trying to log into my account through Sprint.com just kicks me back to the login screen with no errors. I looked through my bank and credit card statements and don't see any payment for unlimited plan. I'm cool with being a ghost, I guess Stick Out Tongue Just hope they don't realize and BAM a bill for $1k

But to answer your question, I bought a $99 iPhone 6 from Boost Mobile months prior to this plan being available. Then I signed up for this plan, because 1 year free.. why not? Put Sprint's SIM inside the iPhone and as far as I knew was on the 1 year free plan.
