Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

For those who are wondering, I have been on this deal for 6months and the service is great, pay about $15/month (their fees, so not completely free) for 5 lines. Those who complain about the signal are either disgruntled about everything or located in bad service area, which can be said for ALL carriers. I had AT&T before and they sucked for two of the users on my plan based on their location. Had Verizon before also, paid close to $200/month for 5 lines and voice quality sounds worse than Sprint.
CON about Sprint, this plan DOES NOT allow talk and surf at the same time. When I signed up, I paid for 3 SIM cards and shipping, but later went to Sprint store and got 2 more SIMs for FREE. So you might not even have to order any SIM card when signing up online, get them free in store. When signing up make sure not to have the rep add on the phone insurance service, they will insist and say you can cancel ASAP, it's BS, you can be charged a prorated fee if it passes a certain time frame before canceling.
What do you have to tell them in order to get free sim cards from the store?
The guy at the store told me to order online, wouldn't give me any.

Did anyone do this deal for the third year?... I did the first year with my SSN , second year with my wife's SSN . Now the second year is expiring in May this year. Can I use my SSN again to get one more year? Not sure how long they retail our SSN details to count as a new customer again.

I ported my # out of Sprint about 2 weeks ago but my account is still open. Should I call? They are billing me already and don't want to pay the $60
If you didn't port out before end of bill cycle, you owe $60 for full month, no proration.
If port out was complete by 2/23(2 weeks ago) and bill cycle ended on 2/22 or earlier you owe $60. If bill cycle ended on 2/23 or later you would owe $0.
Port out automatically cancels line. Did port complete? if not then line would not cancel. You can check online to see if your line is still active

Many people have done it and posted about it.
Only caveat is if original account wasn't fully deleted, you may be asked about it. So best if you have old account# pin and or security question available.

So I called the Sprint stores (I guess the corporate stores) ahead, asked them if I can come in to get the Free SIM because I'm planning to switch to them. I guess your YMMV, the 2 stores I called all said to come in and they'll give it for free.

I would not count your chickens (sims) until you have them in hand. Sales reps will say anything to get you to come in.

Let us know though - hopefully it will be fine.

By the way it may be disastrous if you let them set up the plan.

I am trying order 2 Sprint sim cards online for $2.99 each, it keeps asking me to choose one of the plan ($25 Kickstart, $40 2GB, or $60 Unlimited).

Is there a way to order a sim card for $2.99 each without getting a plan?

Did you use the link in the wiki for the 4 in 1 sim kit?

I was able to go into store and get the SIM cards free. Also allowed the phone rep to keep the insurance on at the cost of them adding a $50 credit to my account. Cancelled the insurance immediately once my Sprint account was online, and now I also have a $50 statement credit!

all good info..except

pay about $15/month (their fees, so not completely free) for 5 lines.

wiki clearly states u will be responsible for taxes and other fees that are ~$4 per line.

bringing this up just gives more fuel to the whiners who will complain

That's good, but really some stores will do it, some not. I'm sure it depends on how the customer presents themself too. Some are better at these things than others.

Are you saying they gave you a $50 credit as a bonus for taking the insurance? That would be a new twist.

Yeah I'm sure the free Sims are YMMV.

As far as the $50 credit, that's correct. My rep claimed she could give me a $50 statement credit if I didn't deny the insurance (at first I tried to deny it, but then she offered the credit). I thought for sure the credit wouldn't apply, but a few days later I got a text saying it did, even after I cancelled the insurance.
