Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

In my excitement to do get free unlimited data, I forgot that they took away the hotspot ( I saw it in the wiki, I just forgot within a couple days). Trying to find a workraround like something cheap for the esim. I got on chat with them and they said they'd add 10GB LTE hotspot for $30/month. $30 for unlimited data and hotspot is still cheap, but maybe the esim would be better.

They did try putting me on the insurance without even asking. I caught it in the email they sent. I made sure she took it off before I agreed to letting them process.
Try SWAC plan. Price is the same and last forever

Anyone have this happen? I moved both my phone and my wife's phone (separate accounts) from the Sprint free one year plan to Mint Mobile over the holidays. Our free plans were ready to expire and Mint had the 3 months for $20 promo plus cashback promotion. I waited past 45 days and moved my phone back to Sprint to get another free year. No problems. Yesterday I tried to do the same for my wife's phone, but in the eligibility checker it says she still owes Sprint money for the phone. After speaking to CS at Sprint, they acknowledge the phone is hers, there is no balance on her old Sprint account, but they can't activate the phone on her new account because it looks like it is not released by the carrier. Sprint insists Mint has it locked to Mint, but when I spoke to Mint they claim they don't lock phones to themselves. Looking online it doesn't look like Mint locks the phones either. But now we are stuck as I can't get the phone back on Sprint. Any ideas?

You can run your imei at ting
https://ting.com/byod
That's been known to sometimes push your phone back onto sprint's database.
Then check eligiblity again on sprint.

Call the number in the wiki.
Called them, they had to call credit dept who said though my account was cancelled 45 days back for some reason system did not work as expected and they had to manually fix it and then my new account was set up. Thank you and wiki

The tablet plan is a better deal and with unlimited hotspot. (Unlimited to be confirmed)

The "you owe Sprint" message actually means it was on a Sprint mvno earlier, even briefly.

You will have to check if this flag is set. In all liklihood it is, from some prior usage in the past.

Mint has nothing to do with it.

What phone is it? If it was ever on Fi, that is the problem and you can call Fi support and they can flip the flag for you.

The mere fact that it got on Sprint before is not sufficient to get it on now. Databases get refreshed and updated. Checks get changed. Whenever you take a phone off you run a very small risk that criteria will evaluate differently second time round for any of a variety of reasons.

It is not worth arguing about how this happened or whether it happened. You will need to fix it yourself. This will take several steps and research.

First is to check it on the Ting and Tello checkers and report the results. Then check again at https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...hop:030918 and post the exact wording of the error if any.

Actually just running it through the Ting checker and the alternative Sprint checker that I like to above will fix it in some cases.

That is considered a promotion and this plan is not eligible for it, others have posted. Also you cannot do anything in relation to this plan at a Sprint store anyway.

Sprint does not want to pay store commissions and you would need to buy any phone at full price from Telesales or online.

Thank you comintel

Yes they are xt1900-1 from Google fi

Checker reply was "ineligible for this promo"

I'll follow the directions you gave if I decide to switch to the x4's. I didn't plan on using fi originally but I ended up buying these phones from the front page fi deal and I didn't read the google fi instructions in the wiki since I didn't plan to go that route.

On a side note, I'm also frustrated at myself for not checking the radios built in the phone as the x4's only have band 41 covered for Sprint lte. Which I'm assuming will mean that my Sprint branded lg g5 will get better reception anyway...
Oh ok then it is probably just the usual Fi situation and you should be able to get Fi support to toggle the database so you can activate them on Sprint postpaid instead of Fi.

Actually as far as I know it has all the Sprint bands. I do not know about VoLTE.

Here is another Sprint checker you can try which may give a different message:

From what I know SWAC is 30/mo and this is free before taxes and fees with expiration of 4/30/20. SWAC will continue forever. SWAC gives you hotspot which BYOD doesn't give.

Right.

SWAC is for Friends and Family of Sprint employees, and requires an employee referral, which is impossible to get for most people unless they know someone who works for Sprint.

There is another whole thread here of people begging for a SWAC "invite," and not one person who begged publicly has got one. It is just not going to happen for them - Sprint staff will not give them out that casually. They are not intended for general customers (with rare exceptions).

Anyone else get charged the Sprint Complete $15 fee after they canceled it?

The rep pushed me to keep in on during sign-up saying it was only $0.50 a day and I'd only get charged for what I used.
I canceled it the day the service started working and there's the $15 charge on my upcoming bill.

I'm about to send customer service an email, but figured I'd check people's experience here first.

Look for an offsetting credit on your account.

They do not remove charges, they just offset them with credits usually.

Currently there's only the -$5 for auto pay offsetting the $5 one line fee. But I'll wait a day or two and see if another offset appears.
