Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

unless they are busy and call gets routed to a "supporting department"

wiki even notes that..

Note 1: ...... In some cases, the calls get routed to a different dept which may not access to this promo. So we advised to start the conversation with something like "i want the free 1 year promotion. can u help me with that". if the answer is not a emphatic yes ...then it is suggested u hang up and call again (huca)
Yeah I think I was the one who first came up with that idea. I do commend you and hodaddy for adding it. At the very least, it makes people feel better when they call the wrong number. A nice face-saving gesture for the user.

It is a possibility but in 99% of the cases I think the person has called the wrong number

In at least one case tonight the person was claiming the web site was offering only paid plans. That means the person was using the wrong web site. If they're using the wrong web site, maybe they are dialing the wrong number too.

Call me a cynic as to the user.

Certainly, the Wiki is extraordinarily valuable and does cover this situation, even providing a nice face-saving excuse for those who do dial the wrong number. It does describe a fail-safe procedure for working around it, regardless of where the fault lies, which I agree is a nice addition by you and hodaddy.

Intermittent problem I guess...day before yesterday I was having issues online and hence called, however yesterday I wasa ble to goto the last page where I was even able to put my activation code...though I didnt submit. Plan to do the porting today as it was too late and I was worried on poor or no support in case of issues. Hope it works today.
It took a few hours, but I got all 3 lines ported out to t-mobile and back to Sprint. Noah with Sprint was great, and even called me back after several hours making sure my activation fee was waived porting in my last line.

Thanks to everybody for all the great information. Another free year!

I got transferred to two different lines and each time, it was the same guy who picked the phone. Amazing how they are trying to get rid of us or do not work.

3rd time was the charm and got done in exactly 47 mins. Ported one phone.. will try this for few days before porting 2 others...

I did both port out to T-Mobile and port in to Sprint by phone. I ported out each line separately to T-Mobile with 3 calls, and was charged only once for $3.75. Ported in 2 lines with 1 call to Sprint, the CSR Noah called back 2 hours later to port in the last line. Time consuming, but worth it, IMO.

Finally sign up completed. did not argue abotu Sprint Complete - protection for smartphone, but after logging into account, used chat and removed the optional service.

Also enrolled in Auto pay to get the $5 discount.

How do I verify if I got the unlimited plan added properly to my account?

ETA: Found the link, My Sprint --> View Usage shows the plan and usage...

Is it true that if I am on this plan I can add a new free line even after promo has ended?

I'm convinced it's flat 100% impossible to get them to continue without the scam insurance. She literally would not accept the answer no for this, and told me I should just immediately go in and cancel it. Pretty clear they have some scumbag policy that they get in trouble if it's not added to the line.

I suspect they get a hefty commission for adding that feature.. so why argue when it takes 2 mins to take if off using chat bot.

Yeah I get that, but it's still completely unethical to force it down your throat when you tell them repeatedly you don't want this expensive feature.

True that. but when you can win the argument, let it happen and then take it off later. After reading ton of posts here, I have decided not to fight it. I just said sure... and then after the online set, too 2 mins to take that feature off.

There has been no definitive answer. Some believe yes it will be possible and some not. I would get all the lines you need now. Even old Sprint branded flip phones should work. Newer phones can always be swapped on later. Wiki has all the info.

hmm.. interesting that old flip phones can be activated? Any idea how an old phone that is not on any network can be activated?

Just take the imei or esn and enter it in the checker ( 2nd or 3rd link in the wiki). If it's a sprint flip, it should go on. People at the telesales number can verify it as well. ( this may be the better way to check)
