Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes around $4 tax for each line

Just take the imei or esn and enter it in the checker ( 2nd or 3rd link in the wiki). If it's a sprint flip, it should go on. People at the telesales number can verify it as well. ( this may be the better way to check)
I got the checker, but that phone is inactive for years.. how do we get it active and then ported back to sprint?

If the esn checks out then you just need to port in a number. Telesales will do the activation. Maybe comintel can comment further later today.

Thanks for patiently answering...
I thoguht the plan is only for BYOD, if the esn checks out, I need to get a service from non-sprint provider correct?

Just as any line, you're porting in an existing non-sprint number and any eligible phone. No different than an eligible smartphone.

See wiki post, near the end. People have posted their monthly costs organized by zip codes.

It's almost embarrassing to ask this question, but please indulge me. I bought a sprint-branded LG V20 to use on this plan but I do not see it listed anywhere as an approved device? Why in the world wouldn't the V20 work on this plan?

It should and has by others. As stated in the wiki, the eligible list posted "is not limited to" the ones listed. "Other phones may be eligible".

Any ideas on a cheap (translate freeeeee) service to port OUT of Sprint now. I don't need the number and instead of cancelling, I'd rather port out to kill the line.

u r getting confused.

the original ? was can old flip phones be used
the answer is yes.
but u still need to follow the other requirements...the main being each and ever new line has to be ported

i would suggest..u read and then re read the wiki so u understand the process

So I have an old Samsung Moment Phone that doesn't take a Sim Card as it is there OG CDMA Network. Do you think this would work? I know on Sprint's regular IMEI checker it says it can be activated on a plan but I think the free year checker says it didn't qualify? Should I try calling Sprint for this one or is it only phones that take a Sim Card that can be activated on this plan? TIA Ron & Repped! ☺️

Tax here in CA varies by city. I'm in Sacramento and our rate is 9%. I paid right at $9. month tax before bailing from Sprint (poor network) after a few months. That said, your State/City may very likely be lower and coverage fine. YMMV applies with Sprint.

Yeah I get that, but it's still completely unethical to force it down your throat when you tell them repeatedly you don't want this expensive feature.
Well what I was told is that they have to add some thing chargeable service to apply $30 activation waiver, and once that credit has been applied, we can remove that service charge, however these agents dont have access to remove the charges - hence either go online and remove the services or they can transfer to the customer service dept. who can remove this charge.
