Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

If I dont care about porting the number out, can I directly cancel a line? will Sprint release the IMEI from their database immediately so I can use another SSN to port in a new number with the same device?
(1)Yes but it will not take effect until end of billing cycle if you cancel it by calling.
(2) Only if you port it out OR swap it off, both of which take effect immediately.

Re: End date of 4/4.

I just checked with a SlickDeals source (whom I will not identify) and learned that the end signup date of 4/4 was provided by Sprint's Business Team to SlickDeals' Business team. That is, in fact, why SlickDeals moved this deal back to FrontPage Deals.

Nothing has come along since then to SlickDeals to change that information.

So, it is my opinion that the date of 4/4 will indeed be the end of the signup period for this offer.

Just as a footnote of my own, there could possibly be a minor extension for signups already under way, judging by past experience with other Sprint offers.
can u get your source to contact the sd source to contact the S BD source to re offer the $15 KS plan...?

Thanks .. Prl update said nothing to update and Device config update has been going on for over an hour .. does it take this long normally or is it not doing anything. Actually yesterday when I inserted the Sprint sim into my LG G7 it popped up a notification from Sprint DM and it was doing something but now I don't see it whether it successfully competed. I would think it was doing the same update and is automatically done shouldn't it ?
Try disabling Google Fi as a carrier. Settings>Network & internet>Mobile network>advanced>Carrier>click the gear next to Google Fi and disable. This worked for me.

Getting ready to renew before expiration date and just wanted to make sure I am doing this correctly. After reading the wiki this is what I came up with.
Currently have 2 iPhone 6s on Sprint.
1. Going to port out to T-Mobile using the same digital SIM I purchased last time I did this (this should be fine?)
2. Port back in a few minutes later using my SSN since it has been well over 45 days. This will be all done over the phone since doing it online doesn't seem to work.
3. This weekend I am going to Apple store to trade in one of the 6s and purchase a new iPhone XR outright. (I assume this is better after I port rather than before. If not, I can do this first.)
4. When I do purchase an new iPhone XR should I ask for carrier unlocked, Verizon version or Sprint version? This is the part I am a little fuzzy on. (Is there even a difference?).
5. If the previous question matters, should I also ask for the appropiate Sprint SIM card?

Best to get the unlocked version as that way you are ready to move to a different carrier in future. I have heard that verizon one is unlocked too, but why risk it when you can get the unlocked one directly from apple.

Yes, ask for the appropriate sim (for sprint). Check wiki for link to the sim model you need.

I've done the port out of Sprint and port into T-mobile twice in the last couple of days and the online process for T-mobile is wonky. I had to call in to have T-mobile set up my account and they charged me twice for the $3 pay as you go plan. Once that was complete I immediately called Sprint and ported over with no problem. I've got 2 more lines to port over to T-mobile and back to Sprint but I'm not going to even bother trying online. After calling in they have to setup a new account for me in both cases so the online process was canceled out. Has anyone had success with the T-mobile online? Just trying to minimize my time with this.
did they say they have to text you a code to your new t-mobile line to continue the porting process?

Nicely done .
Some doubt as to the merger going through here.

Indeed - I think it is not a sure thing at all. The decision could also get dragged out for the better part of a year quite easily. Hopefully we will get one or more great offers in a year or so one way or another.

I'm currently on the free year plan, and about to sign up for another year with my wife's SN. I read through the whole thread when I signed up last year, and read through the wiki now and things look about the same.

Just one question:
When I call and set up the new account with my wife's SN, do they care if I'm setting it up on her behalf? Like, can I say "This is my wife's SN", or will they want to have her set it up herself?

Thanks for the help, great thread here. Already saved thousands on multiple lines for my extended family!

she has to be by your side, the have to speak to her to do a credit check. other than that you can do all the talking and even let the csr know that you are helping your wife set everything up because she does not know much about these things.

That makes sense, and is exactly what I wanted to confirm. Thanks, and rep'd for the reply =).
