Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

A couple questions.

What's the safest and fastest way to save a number and port out to? I read a couple comments here and there, H2O for example. I do have their SIM card too. So basically I port out, cancel Sprint, then port back into BYOD plan using another SSN?

What's the cheapest phone that will work with BYOD?

If your question begins with either of these phrases:
"What's the fastest" or
"What's the cheapest"
there is a 1000% chance that you are asking an FAQ.

Just signed up for this deal, bringing a refurbed, Sprint-compatible (supposedly also unlocked) iPhone 7. My current compatible phone (iPhone 6s) inconveniently died just as I was ending my current provider's service month, so can confirm that you can definitely bring a phone not associated with your phone number for this. The phone I bought already came with a Sprint SIM. I did this deal by phone and even though it took awhile, got everything set up that way, with no activation fee and no need to buy a new SIM, etc. Voice and text did not work until I did the following (for iOS devices, see below)--apparently common for pre-used phones on Sprint that were associated with a different number. Glad I got in under the wire! I did the Virgin Mobile free year deal earlier (went to another provider when that timed out) so glad I have another year of super-low cell bills.

Connect to Wi-Fi or data
Go to the phone app
Enter # # 25327 #
Tap Call
When the "Reset Subscriber Settings" message appears, tap OK
Wait 5-10 seconds for the word "Searching" to appear in the top left-hand corner
When the phone shows signal dots again, it's ready to use

For the people signed up recently, when does your free year end? I did it two days ago and was told promotional benefit ends 3/31/2020, not April 30 Frown

Also my mom's line still has a half year free service left, I just realized that I can move hers to mine to gain extra 6 months. Anyone knows if there is risk port out from her account and port in to mine?

Thanks

4/30/2020 is the most recent end date
Yes you can port Mom's number out and back in. They go by SS#, not phone number.

Can I port in 1 number to get free year locked up and then port another number later in May? I know this deal is probably ending in April, so want to jump at least with one number. Is there any restrictions on adding lines later?

I just did this 2 days ago and again yesterday and the end date for me says 4/20/20. When I call in to Sprint I make sure to ask them the end date several times since we are in the last few days of March. Hope that helps.
