Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Joined this play yesterday night with one line, followed wiki and all set. Everything seems to good. The rep said my area (92602) is eligible for LTE speeds and coverage is excellent

But for internet I am getting speeds of 3Mbps download, are there any additional settings I need to do on my iPhone 6S plus

Ha.ha..welcome to Sprint.hug

Had nightmare experience with T-mobile port-in with digital SIM. Out of frustration, I paid a visit to local Tmobile corporate store. the experience was smooth and quick. Here are steps 1) locate Tmobile corporate store 2) ask to port in pay as you go plan from sprint 3) SIM activation kit is $25. But, port-in to Tmobile gives $15 discount 3) Tmobile employee will activate and port-in Sprint number on the spot. It took less than 1 min to port my each line. Note, Tmobile can port-in 1 line a time. Make sure each line has its own unique email. 4) ask employee to write down TMB account. Tmobile also sent welcome email with account info.

In the end of day, it costed me $7 more per line tha. Digital sim. But, more reliable.
Did you need to have a T-Mobile phone to do that in the store? I have 2 more out of 5 lines to get out and back in before this supposed expiration date. As you stated, the online with Digital SIM is hit and miss lately.

I just got a sprint sim card from Apple Store, but when I called I was told that my free plan will be ending in 03/31/2020. Will it be any different if I sign up April 1st?
The ignorant rep (luck of the draw) was wrong (obsolete info). The expiry date for all activations is now already 4/30/20 and has been for a few weeks.

It will be no different on 4/1 but you can signup then if you prefer (very probably)..

Anyone know if I allow my phone to use "roaming data" if they charge anything for this? Just signed up and can't find the answer on this. Thanks
Quote from MK2172 :
Their script says if you use more than 100mb of roaming data, they will impose restriction or kick you off the plan or something like that.
Right and that information is only theoretical.

There is now unlimited free TMobile roaming and you need it in some areas. It does not show up or count against our roaming quota. In general, roaming that you do within areas that have TMobile will be on TMobile and so not count at all.

You should leave roaming on.

You will never be charged under any circumstances.

The WORST is that you get your roaming (only) cut off for the rest of the month.

So leave it enabled. There is NO practical downside.

Same happened to me too. In the process When we get to the point the csr will start reading the terms and conditions the line was dropped. They never call back to the given number. In Both instances I rejected the extras the csr offered. The third time a different csr she very subtly said she added in sprint protection or whatever it is called and I let it go and this time the process got completed with no other event. Seems if they cannot add an extra during the activation they hung up. It couldn't be coincidence two times in a row
Some do because they become angry that performance evaluation score is looking unlikely to meet the requirement.

That's the right approach - just let them add it and cancel via chat later.

Maybe they have added in a new call center though or some such.

We never used to get hangups. I have never gotten one with at least 10 signups or line adds.

Does it need to be a corporate store? I have plenty of branded ones in my area but no corporate owned ones

Probably so if you want success, since Independent dealers hate your guts if you "waste their time" on prepaid or in fact anything other than setting up post-paid service and buying phones.

You can try anyway.

Let's see what canex says though.

There are some possibilities.

Check out the Wiki (the third post in this thread) for what the options are (or were).

Had a disconnect today with Sprint, but called back and finally got my 4th line over from Tmobile.
Sprint representative was great. Stayed on the line with me(about 15 minutes) to make sure the port
with through. Now have this until 4/30/2020. Thanks for all the tips and great Wiki and will miss this
deal when it ends.Crying2

No. What you buy is a SIM activation kit. But, I highly recommend you to bring TMB compatible phone, just to make sure your lines are indeed ported in.

The whole porting process took longer this time for me. Sprint to T-mobile porting took me almost an hour. Spent about 45 mins with sprint customer service to port back to sprint. I got lucky too with someone nice on the other side who went through the whole process. She had to put me with the credit dept to get approved. I dont know why it didnt automatically get done. Anyways, its all good and I have to just move my second line to this primary sprint line. Got free service for another 13 months!! Even though sprint isnt as good as verizon and att in my area, cant complain for a free service! Smilie
How did you do it? Could you explain to me the whole process steps by steps? I am with Sprint for over 1 year now. How can I get another 1 year? Do I need another SSN?

Let's see what canex says though.
I indeed stopped by two third-party authorized retailers near my home first. One kept pushing me to sign up $50 prepaid plan. So, I gave up. Another told me, if there is an port-in issue, they need to call TMB port-in department, as they don't have direct access to TMB backend. With tight deadline and the margin of error is small, I decided to visit TMB corporate store instead. It worked out beautifully without any incident.
