I just ported out to TMO (from Sprint). TMO said the porting is completed but the person said she can't see the account number. What should I do? What's the TMO account number, is it 1+ phone number? Now the Sprint checker shows that I'm eligible. Thanks in advance for your input.

No, stupid people are definitely stupid regardless of self awareness. It's easier for their delicate sense of self to blame an inanimate object when it was their stupidity that mowed down the innocent family. I guess it helps them sleep at night to blame the evil cell phone rather than question their own intelligence & ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner.

Not really sure this has ANYTHING to do with a deal on Sprint service so I'm pretty sure you just wanted to virtue signal. Next you'll climb up on your soap box to tell us how teachers need to be paid more and how we need to make more effort to save the wales and curtail our use of plastics. We all already acknowledged & agreed how amazing of an individual you are so please move along.

Where were we again? Oh yeah, this is a good deal for those who don't mind Sprint's short comings, have devices that work and don't travel outside of areas where coverage is decent. The rest of us are probably better off getting better deals where we are based on the potential loss of us as customers to other providers with deals like this.
nobody's blaming the cell phone. I'm pretty old and not in a cult so I don't know what "virtue signal" means.

On the subject of not having anything to do with this deal..what do your essays on Verizon, your boss, etc, have to do with it ?

If you paid nothing it is probably 1+ the number.

Thanks so much comintel. That's what I'm guessing. Should I just go for it, and call Sprint now and use 1+phone number as my TMO acct?

Yes I would.

If it fails they will let you know and you can look further into it and correct it without starting over when you find out..

with this free plan and low priced used LG phones it's very easy to have voice and data at the same time using two lines and two phones.

and in my area, Knoxville, TN, I have Volte with my Moto Z2 Force and have simultaneous voice and data.

I don't think anyone questions Verizon is the coverage leader, that doesn't make everyone who doesn't need or care about it "dumb".
2 lines 2 phones. Yikes. He won't have any hands on the wheel !

How long did it take from the time you executed the port to t-mobile, until the time you got some confirmation that the port was complete?

Reason I ask - a couple weeks ago I ported from google fi to t-mobile and it took maybe 15 minutes to complete. But today I tried same and couple hours have past with no contact from t-mobile and phone still working on google fi. So maybe as others have indicated, the t-mobile porting is now taking much longer (if it even still works as before).

Hoping at least by tomorrow the phone is ported to t-mobile else I will probably miss the April 4th Sprint deadline.

How did you end up with paying nothing to T-Mobile? Agent insisted they need the payment to start porting.

Hopefully you will get help from her. I think so.

By the way the USPS and mortgage companies use the same identity verification service. I agree it is garbage though. I was failed by USPS and they told me there was NO APPEAL and no way to correct errors in their test!.

I am getting better at passing the test. I find that "None of the Above" is rarely the correct answer.
Luckily, these tests never stood in the way of my commission checks when I was a mortgage loan officer.

The fact that USPS uses them, too, finely illustrates my point about Sprint.

Don't know how I'll recoup the 4.5 hours (literally) of my life wasted on the phone with Sprint yesterday (and only 3 disconnects in there, a low number for Sprint).

Hopefully Marci will help, or else I'm stranded after this free month of H20, having given up 5 months of Sprint to renew.

Thanks, comintel!

Anyone ran into issues where data seems to be working, it's not super fast but it works, but there is no reception bar at all, and phone calls doesn't work?

They were saying that my sim card was defective, but the same thing happened again on the second sim card and they're completely clueless now

I'm in my 2nd year BYOD with wife's SSN. I already had Year1 with mine. want to do the port out. Can you just give them my Year 1 account details (to avoid the hassle of new account setup)? or do we need to setup my ssn for new account again?

I always give them my old account numbera.

One said it helped.

The other said "and exactly what do you want me to do with this information, sir."

I think it helps though especially with the Credit Department because remember the major reason for refusal is when they have doubts about who you are. If you know the prior account numbers and passwords, you are proving who you are.

From what I have been told, the agents with the "new system" require funding and you will get an account number unrelated to your phone number. If you can get someone with the old system, it will allow the port without funding and the account number is 1+ number.
