Try T-mobile corporate store, not branded or authorized retailers. Corporate store has the direct access to port-in backend. Your lines will be ported in on the spot. Make sure to 1) use separate email for each line as TMB can only port-in one line at a time 2) ask and write down account #.
Thank you. Will do that.

Phones are released as soon as the swap is completed. I would think they can help with the swap in store. Also read keith131's post on the previous page
hmmm so if you have one line on this plan and then you go trade in that phone for an iPhone Xr... if you don't swap it in the store and come home... your plan is effectively cancelled?

Or does trading in the phone have nothing to do with the line... will the phone still show up on my account under devices?

I am not an iPhone user but I'm sure apple reps can answer your questions.

ok, here is an update... Marci's rep called back my wife and repeated the same thing that this is a standard policy and you can only try again after 60 days. Then I thought to try my luck with the credit dept again. My wife talked to them and after talking to the supervisor and persuading (actually pleading) them to give us 1 more chance, he agreed to do it as an "exception". My wife told them that your VP Marci has asked us to contact them for the resolution laugh out loud . This time questions were clear and my wife answered them with no problems. Verification done and her ssn pre-approved for 5 lines. Then I called the telesales folks to register for the service and after spending close to 2 hours on the phone with them, finally got the service in my wife's name till 4/30/2020. The ordeal is over and I am set for another year Applause

A BIG thanks to all the helpful people here on SD !!! even to those who say "Read the wiki" laugh out loud

hey thats mostly me me.. u r welcome

huca for the win..again !!

Based on my experience, if the PIN they asked is 4 digits, which means they are in the new systems, even though you didn't add fund, the account number will not be 1+ phone number, and you need to find out online. If they use new system to activate your number, the sim card will not be re-usable.

If the PIN they asked was at least 6 digits, they are in the old system, so the account number is 1 + phone number, and you don't need to add funds. If they activate using old system, your sim card will be good to use later.

So old system will be perfect...though it's hard to tell how to get to the old system...
I don't think this is correct. I had 6 digit pin in new system with account number not equal to phone number

For those trying to get another year, has anyone tried porting over to ATT prepaid at a store? I am curious why everyone is going the Tmo route?

I left Sprint on Feb. 17th at 6:18pm EST. Today is day 45. Does that mean I'm eligible now or today after 6:18pm or should I wait till tomorrow day 46?

That is another option. I believe it will require $10 in funding. The Sim may or may not be free

You can always check your cell number and phones IMEI at the BYOD page and see what the results are. If it's the credit check you are after you can call credit directly today and ask.

You can trade in the phone at apple store, just don't let apple store swap the phone for you or you will lose your free plan. Either call or chat with sprint support, they will swap the phone and keep your plan
