Yes I believe you should be able to.

Last week I switched my wife off our first year of BYOD free account to her own and then today did my line. Able to move myself in less than an hour.

I had purchsed a $9 Tmobile prepaid sim card.
I dialed into the $3 prepaid line with that sim card in and was able to port and get a new tmobile account all with the automated phone service. Took less than 10 min.

Got my tmobile account # via text and then called the Sprint line to transfer it back to my wife's account. That went through painlessly in about 30 minutes.

The sales rep confirmed the promo ends today, but they are looking for feedback to hopefully convince sprint to extend it *shrug*.

I'm good until April of next year. WOOHOO!

Anyone know if I need to do anything with my old Sprint account that doesn't have any lines anymore?

Sure you do but only if you have a different SSN to use.

Have a new account set up with 1 new phone number and still have 3 on the old account which is free until the end of July (I think). Should I leave that open or move all the phones over to the new account? I really don't use the tethering or much data. Could use new phones if there is an opportunity for that--something that could be unlocked and used on another network if Sprint's network doesn't improve. Just thinking about phone opportunities. I doubt that I will stay on the Sprint network if I have to pay for it.
I would move the phones over to free up one SSN for new-customer-only offers.

To get a phone number, I ordered the $3 T-Mobile paygo w/ SIM last night. I have the account number and PIN. I want to go straight to Sprint with the number.

As of today, calling the number says, "The subscriber you dialed is not in service"

Did I mess up? Or will this work when porting out to Sprint?

Hi, there was a "rumor" that promo will go away forever on 4/4/19. Is it true?
It was more than a rumor.

So I just had my buddy call the credit Dept because he didn't think he would get approved as he tired some months ago at a target store but they said he couldn't get approved then.

Well anyways he got approved today for 5 lines & I'm wondering what is the best thing to do today to get him signed up now? I do have an extra Free T-mobile SCNA MI data on demand line that I can sacrifice for him but I would rather not if I don't need to as I use it for extra T-mobile Tuesday Goodies.

Should I do the Google voice method of creating a new # & paying fee to port out? I guess I can also do the T-Mobile digital esim thing but I heard it's a mess sometimes. Lastly I guess I can go into a T-mobile store to buy a prepaid sim & sign up for the $3 pay as you go plan? Just trying to add this ASAP before the window of opportunity is over. Tia Ron. 🙂

Interesting development - Up until this morning, my IMEI (Moto X4) and Phone Number were eligible for this BYOD, but as of today, the checker is saying they're not eligible.
Try it in the Ting and Tello checkers (which sometimes frees it up), then try again in the Sprint one or just get the needed sim and call the number ending in 8777 in the Wiki to try to sign up.

If it is on Fi you have to get it off Fi first.

Anybody who has this plan can tell me whether it comes with WIFI calling. Last time I had it on my Moto x4 it didn't, but I left them to take a break several month ago. Do u know whether they make any changes? Anybody who has the plan has it now?

Tried searching the forum and got conflicting answers. Has anyone successfully used a Samsung S7 (SM-G930FD) for this?

No it does not force. It asked me if I had aim card and enter the number. Mine was not compatible and thus it stated to buy a new one.
Really - they have improved it then. It still has other flaws though judging by the continuing mixups we see (one more today).

Tried to port in another number. But the agent told me she cannot guarantee I can get the promotion any more. Balabala, and also mentioned even from her manager, nothing we can do, balabala. I hanged up, and got another agent online, and finished the porting.

Seems the promo will be ending soon.

Depending on your phone model, they do offer WiFi calling. I've used it on both my older and newer iPhones. With WiFi calls, it sounds great and has crisp clear voice!
You can enable from your handset and/or Services from your MySprint dashboard.

If that is a foreign model, which I believe it is, Sprint will never accept it.

You can try the IMEI in the checker.
