SPRINT ARE THIEVES

I signed up for the free promotion with Sprint. Well FREE turned out to be $38.38 a month. Somebody at Sprint added something called Sprint Complete without my consent. I did not even know what Sprint Complete was.

I have been on the phone with Sprint for hours being jacked around from person to person. Finally got the Sprint Complete removed but they still want me to pay another $38.38. $30 for Sprint Complete and $8.38 taxes.

A good deal that Sprint made a not so great deal. Sprint atre thieves in my opinion. Sprint can't be trusted in my opinion. I was on the phone for about two hours with people in the Phillipines that I could hardly understand.

Shame on me. Going shopping for someone I can trust. Sprint signal poor anyway.

Buyer Beware when it comes to Sprint!

I have found out some answers by asking on reddit!

It appears that the current Free Plan is now only the same as KickStart or Unlimited Basic (QCI 8 to start). The original Free plan was QCI 7.
Good to know. This info can be difficult to find/decipher (and seems subject to change). I guess that leaves Unlimited Plus as the cheapest current Sprint unlimited plan that isn't deprioritized from the start.

Yes, apart from SWAC, which is hard for most people to get the needed staff referral for right now, but that will come along I believe - a year ago they had a period where those were easy to get..

You are right that they should not have added it in the first place. However, it usually takes one minute to remove it completely ny Chat or online as per the Wiki.

Right - for this particular promo, the terms and conditions says:
"Accounts that cancel lines within 30 days of activating on promo pricing may void savings."
https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...print.html
That's good to know. I'll stick around for at least 40 days.

Did this offer really expire in April or can I still get this deal or some variation of it?

It closed to new takers on April 4 and there is no other variation of it.

When scheduling to cancel my account, one of the agents I talked to claimed there may be some kind of new plan offered next month that I "might" qualify for. I suspect they were making it up just to try to keep me from cancelling, but you never know I guess. The agents often don't seem to know what they're talking about.

It is hard to see what they could do without undermining KickStart.
I suppose they could have have a KickStart Lite plan with lower data limits.
In fact, I imagine they will have some new prepaid-like plans since they are going to lose Boost if the merger is approved.

If the merger were to fall through definitively, though, then I can see some real deals being possible, because they would be back to trying to inflate the number of subscribers, to try to make the company look attractive to other potential merger partners such as media conglomerates.

Hi, thank you for helping me. But i called both number and none of them were able to add my IMEI number to Sprint database!! They send to support but the system keep saying my note 9 cannot added. Haiz i waited 6 months for this crap. Never again Sprint
The reasons they gave you indicate they did not understand what you wanted and why. It sounds as if they got the impression that you just naively wanted to add an incompatible phone. That is not the case. It is compatible now because Samsung has released the update that adds BYOD compatibility. You have to tell them that explicitly. You have to convince them that it is compatible but not in the database. You want them to add it or at least open a ticket to add it or at least refer it to someone who understands better than that person did,

Ask the person if he knows how to add an IMEI to the DMD database. If he says no, ask him to transfer you to someone who does.

I would suggest try again. Or go to a corporate store. Escalate it. There is no reason it cannot be added. Others have got this done for other phones and apparently this one too.

This is a Verizon model, not the factory-unlocked model (which you could have bought, by the way). I agree it is a scandal but it is working to Verizon's benefit, not Sprint's. Therefore I would suspect Verizon is the underlying culprit, not Sprint. Or maybe the whole industry. Phones are supposed to be unlocked promptly under CTIA guidelines. They are trying to bypass the spirit of that by making the phones "unlocked," but not immediately usable on the other carrier.

If Kickstart is no longer available to anyone who doesn't already have it, how would this undermine it?

KickStart is still available to anyone for $25 a month plus taxes etc.
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/pl...start.html

It is the Free Plan that is no longer available to anyone who doesn't already have it.

I thought the Kickstart plan ended a long time ago, and was only $15. Is this plan any different from that one, other than the price? I thought the other one included hotspot, HD video, etc.
