So wait,
I am on Sprint already and my one year plan expired last month. I am already paying full price for all four lines.

If I add a new line to my account, is there a way to get all five lines back on the free one year plan?
It seems the free plan is reopening (at least going by the "confirmation" from a Sprint community rep). If you have a second SSN (spouse etc), you could try opening a new account under that SSN at https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/of...:1yearfree

That will involve porting a number to that new account.

Then if that does work you can port the other lines out to a non-Sprint account and back on to that new account.

They are never going to give you anything while you are still sitting there paying up. They have no incentive to do so. Exactly the opposite. Just adding a line will maybe get you $200 but nothing more than that.

But put that line in a brand new account into a different ssn as described above may work (not enough people have done it yet to be sure).

We need a little more verification but at least one person has signed up (online only - phone did not work for another person) and Sprint Community says it is live:

Here is the verification for the NEW FREE ONE YEAR SPRINT PLAN:

https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/of...:1yearfree

The phone # is the same:
Call to order 1-866-782-8777

***Very important***

IF you qualify, order by calling the above phone # and speak to a Sprint rep, DO NOT try to do it online unless you want troubles.

We already posted that link a number of times including in my post a few posts ago but are you just guessing at all of what you say or have you actually done it?

One person who tried it by phone was refused, and one person who signed up online succeeded (the opposite of what you posted).. I do agree that once the phone reps are aware of the re-opening of the promo, we will probably be back to the standard recommendation in the Wiki of calling in. But right now that does not yet seem to be the case, judging from posts by people who have actually tried it.

That page is self-contradictory at the moment because it says expires in April but also says one year.

Also BTW that is not a new page but is the old page exactly as it was last April (look at the dates in it).

Is there any cooling period for porting out from an existing account to porting in to another account?

So I read a few pages back and this free BYOD extension or rather reopening of the deal still confuses most of the knowledgeable people here.
I have just ported back in to the Kickstart last July and would be great if I can acquire to this BYOD again. My question is how many times can I re-use a Social Security Number on sprint?

Free BYOD 2017-2018 = My SS#
Free BYOD 2018-2019 = Wife SS#
Kickstart 2019 = My SS#
Soon F BYOD 2019 = ? (Which SS should i use)

You cannot use an SSN for a new account (where required - KickStart does not require a new account) while it is use anywhere on Sprint currently, or has been in use in the last 45 days. That is the only restriction. Other than that, it does not matter. The year makes no difference.

KickStart does not require a new account and SSN. The free plan does.

So if you already have the free plan, you can nevertheless add a new line on Kickstart using the same SSN.

But If you already have Kickstart, you cannot add a new free plan on that SSN (but can still add lines to an existing Free Plan)

Typically you will get an error if you had an account before, even if it is long past 45 days ago, even years ago. In that case, you can call the credit department at 800-639-6116 to clear away the cobwebs.

Can you point me to post where the person signed up online successfully?

Called yesterday and today and everyone is saying no free plan now and that it expired.

You could sign up online:

https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/of...:1yearfree

Sprint Community has indicated that the plan is open for online signup.

However, there is a possibility this is just a foul-up. Please see later posts which are discouraging.
